Good Thursday Morning to You!
I am thinking that you would have loved to have been here yesterday! We had so much fun getting ever so dirty!!! hehehe
Not so much today though... I think we will be in for a round of nasty storms this afternoon/evening, if the radar and forecasts are correct anyway. Here's my WBAY forecast... "Good morning Anne, A line of storms is expected to develop in western Wisconsin later today and move into our area this evening. Some storms may bring wind gusts of 50-60 mph. Your severe weather outlook is MODERATE today. Before the rain look for warm and muggy conditions."
We did get about 4 and 1/2 drops of rain yesterday, early; and although the skies threatened a few times, nothing ever did come of it.
CaseyAnne, Roberta and I finished planting the major stuff in the garden, so it is all set for the rains. My onions are up and growing, and even a little potato bug has found his own little special spot!

Many people, when planting their gardens will mark their rows with stones, bricks, store~bought tags etc... Guess I am not that brave, (Those rocks have a tendency to jump out at my bare feet from time to time)... We use the little white plastic spoons, using a laundry marker to write what has been planted where. And they work GREAT! We put in leeks yesterday, the gourds, the pumpkins, and some cucumbers too. Roberta and Casey filled in on a few rows of corn and beans those few plants that have not come up yet. And boy are the peas taking their time! Just a few of those even breaking ground yet... The girls had fun with the spoons, and looking around after all had been planted, marked and watered, I came upon this little "marker"... Kind of in the middle of nowhere. My 1st thought was "Uh~Oh, somebody screwed up." Getting a bit closer I see that it is KC's handiwork...
.
.
.
.And after such a hot day, 85 degrees, there is always time to play... Especially when it is SO windy!
.
.
.
.
Punk didn't think too much of these noisy, flying 'things' either. And as they would nosedive, she would stand between us and the kite... "Fierce Protector" that she is! And she didn't even care to be getting too close even when Casey had brought her kite outside...
.
.
.
.
.
And yes, even "Yours Truly" had to try her hand at the art of the flying kite! Now c'mon, kite flying isn't only for the kids! We had so much fun, (even when they came down so abruptly)!
.
.
.
.
After being so hot out there, she had to go cool off in the pool... (And yes that water was freshly drawn just an hour before). Doesn't stay clean too long with a dirty dog... (Milly will not go anywhere near water unless her ball "falls" in it).
I'd used the old water to throw on my plants around the house in the early morning...
.
.
.
And then time for her to go dry off in the shade of the front porch...
.
.
Jenny Mella stopped over too; sneaking in the 2nd driveway on her bike. None of us could figure out why all of a sudden Punk and Milly were both barking so loud either... The little SNEAK!
.
.
.
I had recently bought a case of pizza to benefit a school in the area, and it was time to go inside and munch for a bit...
Master Gabriel ate his own pizza with much gusto, and then decided he'd had enough...
.
.
.
.
And Lord, "lead us not into temptation"...
.
I'd better close for now and get this show on the road as they say... (And like I said earlier, I am thinking that you ALL would have loved it around these parts yesterday)!!!
Have a sweet Thursday!!!!
Love to all,
XOXO
Anne
