- Casey, yesterday morning-
- Looking SO innocent...
.
.
Good Morning All;
I tried to post last night and messed up my entry- So here I am, trying again.
The top picture is Casey Thursday morning, as I'd walked in- (After yet another good night sleep)! - And so, she just didn't run...
.
..
Wednesday evening was boring for Punk.
First she tried to rest. (On my bed no less). - So she stares at it... thinking...
.
Down to the desk to find out if any floors were empty.
Yes. Half of the 6th. (Thank you Amy)!
There are no places to play outside unless one wishes to run the risk of being hit by a car. Nothing doing. And some days, walking just doesn't do it.
So we were off to the 6th floor... - Sniff. Sniff.
- And she brings it to me.
- I throw it...
- Over
- and over
- and over
- and over again...
- (Did I mention that it was over and over and over and over again)?!
.
.
.
Back to the room after she returned he fake squirrel to me and just laid down.
That's her signal for "enough". - He spied the one he wanted and was gone.
.
.
.
After he left, it was time to rest, (which brings me back to the topmost picture).
Yesterday (Thursday), brought a very pleasant surprise. Even though when he had called, I had told him to go to the wrong side of campus, my brother John made it up to see Casey!
Nice that. - Camera weight or not we were just happy to see him again!
.
.
As my Xanax was wearing off, it was time for me to go- - I had still to pick up a few things for Casey and to get them to her.
- grabbed The Punk,
- Sneaky little thing that she is!
.
.
She called here later, after she had asked the nurse if there was any way she could go outside?
The nurse said "absolutely!"
I hear that Fairview is one of the few hospitals that actually believes in sunshine and fresh air.
No wonder no one had stopped us earlier... - Jokes on us.
And we thought we were being so sneaky!
Sheesh, at St Marys in Green Bay you cannot even leave whatever stuffy floor you are on!
(Too many doctors have a LOT to learn about healing, and attitude, and back to nature, and just the plain old basics)...
I'd better close for now- I still have to take Punk out, and get in the shower.
Casey called about an hour ago- Said she was up on and off last night too. But she still sounds real good.
The hospital has a mass at 2:30 this afternoon. If I time my little pill just right, we can make that service.
And so begins this holy and joyous weekend.
Love to all.
XOXO

WOOOT!
ReplyDeleteSo glad John made it to visit! I love the Punkie squirrel and the pictures are hilarious....
Of Course Casey looks innocent... she hasn't had time to sin yet... (snicker)
She looks soooooooooo wonderful. I'm sure she can't wait to eat some "real" food but al in good time. It's great to see her up and about like she is. She'll be off and running before we all know it. Please give her a big hug from Cee and me.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are still going good. Mike landed himself back in the hospital last night. Yep, very long night for a few of us.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to hear some hospitals don't let you off the floor. I see patients outside all the time at our hospital. Not to be mean but I say more than 1/2 of them are smokers. There are even nice garden areas in the middle of all the buildings and out the main entrance.
And awful nice of the hotel to let you use a hallway to keep Punk happy. Course, any dog lover knows that a dog can get into mischief if not kept exercised.
(((ANNE and Casey))))
She is looking so good...thank the Gods. I am with you both in thought and spirit. Nature is a powerful thing, is it not?!! :)Blessings....
ReplyDeleteWoot! is right Sweet Pea!
ReplyDeleteI too am glad that John made it up there- He stayed after I left too. Casey said they waked around the whole floor about 4 or 5 times too!
Cool that!
Sin? My Little Casey? Ya think?
Methinks she's been too sick for too long to even be tempted.
Well, ok, temptation?
Oh don't be getting me started...
hehehe
Love to you
XOXO

Sweet Pam;
ReplyDelete...And still she has NO idea how good she looks! I thought maybe she would have blogged last night, but was too tired.
Must have been from eating alll day long!
(I forgot to mention that, didn't I)? Oops.
Yes, she went almost straight to "full" liquids! And right after I got there yesterday they brought in a bowl of chicken noodle soup. (The nurse did say they were stretching it with that). But all was well.
I shall give her your hugs!
XOXO
me
OMG Sweet Oka;
ReplyDeleteI do have to get to your blogs then. My apologies, (and now I must run up to the hospital).
I hope he is doing alright today?
Methinks Green bay hospitals are a bit like caves...
Wish they would take their lead from a few other places.
(Maybe they are afraid to let them go outside because all 3 hospitals are right on the bus line).
hehehe
Casey said the nurse that took her out, took her to a nice little garden area- Places to rest and recover outside!
This is awesome!
Punk has been an angel- And I have damp washed her 'til she shines today. She even got her ears done, and did so without a single whine or crawl away.
She will sit nice at the service for mass too- (Depending upon how Casey feels that is).
She just called once more- They can't get her "low grade" fever down...
We shall see.
Either mass or bible- Makes no difference to me, or God for that matter.
Love to you
And prayers for your Mr Mike too
XOXO

ReplyDeleteOh I am so glad to see you here Sweetie!
I saw your blog for Casey. Very very nice of you!
I have offered many many thanks- God. Nature. Her caretakers. Her surgeons.
And to everyone else too!
Especially for the love of good friends and our wonderfilled family!
XOXO

Being here on Good Friday and trying to be observant of what is going on in my family without being
ReplyDeletenosy, I see my son, who hasn't been going to church, and his wife, who isn't baptized, and was never brought to church growing up....they're getting ready to go to Good Friday serices without
me suggesting it!!!! First great miracle and I'm so thankful. Casey doing so well and looking so
good is my 2nd miracle and my 3rd miracle is that my whole family is here and no one is fighting!!
They are all being good to each other and taking turns washing dishes, and last night the four of us
women laughed until 1:00 a.m...so I see the power of God all around me and I am so filled with
peace and joy. May you and Casey feel the same thing, even though you are away from home. I'm
glad that even Punk got to go and another miracle...you got a long hallway to exercise him and so
got you some extra time to get your mind off the hospital for a bit. Love you lots and I'm thankful
you and Casey are my friends. Hugs, love and blessings to you both. Bev xo
And I bet she enjoyed every spoonful of that chicken noodle soup too.
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!!
ReplyDeleteI am alive... Today is a rough day for me... Aches, pains, shakes, etc... And not the chocolate shake variety... Anywho, I must get going, the dog is paging me to come and say HI! So I must leave... I'm super tired too, so I'll be napping very shortly...
Love you Mommy Much Much!
~Casey
AWESOME to see Casey commenting above.
ReplyDeleteCasey,
Im sorry about your pain, but soooo very glad to see you here :)
Anne,
your baby girl is wonderful, she is such a fighter and she looks terrific!!!
It is so nice of them to let punk play on the 6th floor, maybe it was left empty for their honorary 4 legged guest in the 1st place.
I have a sense that you'll all be home before too long and back to the business of enjoying Flintville !!
Well look who it is!!! It's great to see ya!! Sorry you are having a rough day but let's hope it's one of the last ones for you. Hope you had a great nap, too.
ReplyDeleteCasey looks entirely too well to be cooped up in a hospital. So when's she being sprung?
ReplyDeleteGlad your brother got to pay a visit to Casey, I bet that made her day. (If your camera adds 40 pounds how come Casey still looks so small?)
Great idea to take Punk up to the empty hall to play.
No blog as of yet, really haven't been in the mood. Prolly the sleep deprevation. He's okay, not getting better as of yet though, UGH. Hope they find the right antibiotic quick. Mike is in for cellulitus this time.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Casey wants to go out and CAN go out. And she has you to encourage her. Great pictures. I should keep my at my side to capture the moment.
ReplyDeleteSo great to see Ms. Casey making a comment!
ReplyDeleteLove ALL the pictures... Casey looks SO good... Hope she gets to come home soon.
It's nice that the hospital will let her walk around and go outside... When Randall was in the hospital, he practically had to BEG to even leave the floor he was on. Made him mad enough that he wanted to leave AMA but I talked him out of it...
Keeping prayers coming your way!
Love you all!
Slurkie :-)
Casey is amazing! She looks better with each picture. I am so glad they let her go outside. I agree that it is such a great healer.
ReplyDeleteI love Punk's fake squirrel. I think my dog Charlie would love one. I am glad she got to run. I bet that felt good.
I am glad to hear your head is better. How was Mass Service? Did you make it in time? You are so good with that camera. I really think you need to see about having some of your pictures published. You guys are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Lots of love to you!!!!!!!
Casey's looking good. What a priceless smile she has.
ReplyDeleteflintville saidI still have to take Punk out, and get in the shower. You give Punk a shower? Well at least you don't shower together.
ReplyDeleteHave you never bathed a large dog?
Why then would I want to be fully clothed and give a big dog a bath???
Of course she gets in the dang shower with me, you silly man.
ReplyDeleteSweetie!
Be nosy! (Even though it is more fun to observe sometimes too)...
How neat that they went to church without being asked if they would like to join you all.
Casey had a bit of a down day today- More when I post later. She is hanging in there though!
And Punk and I have just returned again from tossing her tennis ball down the hall!
She has gas- I swear it will kill me tonight.
To be honest, this whole period in here feels more like the true Thanksgiving than Easter.
Love to you also!
XOXO
Anne
Every single slurpin' drop of it Sweet Pam !!!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Anne
ReplyDeleteDear Sweet Baby Girl of Mine

ReplyDeleteTonights floor was my own!
Cool that! And oh she went back and forth another zillion times.
A new guy at the desk told me to take her out in the parking lot.
WHAT?!? wth?
Now about Casey... Rough day today... But she's a scrappy little thing!!!!
XOXO
me
Hiya Rock!
ReplyDeleteMan o man shes looking good.. and good for you and Punk getting to play in the halls..
What a great treat to have her uncle come to visit! I know that was worth far more than any of us could know.
What a great hospital to encourage her to be up and about and in the sun and the fresh air. Just something about fresh air and sun that no medicine can duplicate.
Need to find one of those squirrels for my sons pup.. Sadie.. she would have a blast with that.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday.. oh and you let someone know this is the last holiday we expect to hear about someone being in the hospital! hehe
Hugs
Okay, stopping back in because I forgot to leave a comment. Tell your brother anyone standing next to Casey would appear to have added 40lbs in a picture.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sweet Beep!
ReplyDeletePunk is wanting to be let out so I shall keep this a bit shorter.
(I haven't brought her out yet because the jackass came back and kicked me again...)
~
~
Talk about looking innocent!
Be that as it may I can barely move, and am psyching myself up to even put some jeans on.
Dang hard beds...
I would take something but by the time it kicked in (pardon the pun) I would be then psyching myself up to blot up a mess.
I picked the silly fake squirrel up at CVS Pharmacy when I had picked up my refills. If yours doesn't have it, I know they can at least order one for you! hehehe (For Sadie I mean).
HOPPY Easter to you both!
XOXO
Me
PS
So when I finally have my silly heart attack, it can't be on a holiday?
