Good Afternoon!
I am hoping to finish this in time for Miss Kelli's drive home. I shall try to type fast. (We all know that won't work).
Kelli comes almost every night to take the pups for a walk. But they don't walk, they run, or jog.
Coco runs about 10 miles- Punk maybe 5- and Miller about 2. Kelli just keeps both eyes on all dogs, most of the time.
Punk spied me up at the house on their way back and began running home. Coco saw that Punk was running wide open and thought 'ARF' Which meant "what fun!" And they both were up top in record time.
Kelli and Miller brought up the rear...
.
.
An awesome shot...
it would be, sans burn barrel...
.
.
.
.
Looking toward the west was pretty cool too! (I do love the colors)!
.
.
.
With our cold weather (unseasonably)-, my little sunflower finally was done in.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Out walking that night, my neighbors have a few decorations up for Hallows Eve.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
When I had posted this mornings blog, I was chilled to the bone. I have warmed up now, cooking a turkey roast (and perfecting my stew from yesterday).
Was reading online. As I read, Miss Punk began to growl. Low. Menacing.
A few seconds later, I heard the "beep beep beep" of a truck backing up...
What a surprise as Olsen's delivered my oil.
(I hadn't even called)!
.
.
.
.
.
.
Nor had I even ventured to look at the gauge in the basement, being very miserly with the thermostat...
.
.
...... Looks just fine now! Thank you Alan!
.
.
.
.
.
Remember this shot?
.
.
.
.
.
.
All hell has broken loose...
.
.
.
.
.
.
It began, almost insidiously at first...
.
.
.
.
.
.
The lawn between the driveways as it started coming down...
.
.
.
.
.
.
And what it looks like now...
.
.
.
.
.
.
Suffice to say that I am not impressed!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Last week, the migrants helped me get that pool cleaned, dried and stored.
Today they are not having so much fun.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Methinks they are playing hide and seek with squash!
.
.
.
.
.
.
So come inside with me, and peek out the window in the dining room...
.
.
.
.
.
.
Punk is bored, and has taken to pouting...
.
.

I'd better close. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 7:30 with Dr. Mario- (he's the pain doctor). My back is real bad today- Not sure why, save that it must hate this early snow too.
Hope all is well (and warm), in your little corner of the world.
Love to all
XOXO
Anne
oye...
ReplyDeleteCasey said it was snowing... We are cold and rainy here today but nothing like that!
Punkie is just mad she didn't get to go bark that truck.
Jewish Pea;
ReplyDeleteI thought maybe we would get a little dusting of it... But sure not like this.
It won't stay long though. (I hoe).
But it might come down for a while yet.
The blue is snow
The green is rain...

I can't believe it's snowing there already! I'm already dreading the night time drive, on icy roads, to and from work. Why don't my lottery numbers ever win - so I can buy a beach front house in Key West???
ReplyDeleteGreat fall pics BUT NOT THAT SNOW .. We had some hail here today and its been raining now for 15 days .. I want to see the SUN ... Hope you have a successful day tomorrow with the Doc ..Take care , hugss
ReplyDeleteDamn!! Snow??? Uh make that double damn!!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping those danged weatherman would get it wrong, sorry Anne.
ReplyDeleteGlad Punk got a lil run before the icky weather.
lol!
ReplyDeleteI work with a herd of them.... I use it too much... need to go back to DUDE~!!!!
We are firmly in the green here....
I am contemplating the yard wondering if the mudbath there will be the same as a spa.
oh... I thought she just growled it...
ReplyDeleteXOXOXOXO
me
You may not be impressed with the snow, but LOOK at those photos of it! Nice!
ReplyDeleteI do feel bad for those workers out there in it. Brrrrrrrrrrr!
Anne, my back has had me in pain all day too. Not in the bones. I still believe it is my left lung. Either that, or a torn ligament or muscle or something in that area. I just don't get it with those people over at the hospital. They claimed never to have found anything. I am quite sure they chose NOT to find anything since I made it clear I had no insurance. I am so tired of suffering with this constant pain. Every breath I take is painful.
I think I am the only one who likes your *S*... And yes if I was closer I would be there to shovel it for you!
ReplyDeleteRainy season will be starting here soon... And it is getting colder. I had to dig out my coat today LOL...
Nice that your heating oil was delivered without you having to make a call...
Punkie was pouting 'cause she wanted to go play in the snow... hehehe
I hope everything goes OK with the pain man tomorrow!
Lotsa Love and hugs to you!
Slurkie :-)
Sorry had to giggle at this...
ReplyDeleteI CERTAINLY hope that you do not!
hehehe
Snotball Slurkie :-P
HAHAHAHAHA! (Sorry.... can't help myself) You've got snow before ME!!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI sat here with my mouth open when I scrolled down from the 'remember this' to the snowy version. Amazing how that stuff creeps in isn't it.
We did have frost last night (and have had for about a week now), but that's all. His lordship's been freezing his feet off (!!) on the playing fields near Edmonton - in the snow for the past 10 days. It'll be like coming home to a heatwave.... bless.
Take care of your back Anne,
Hugs xxxx
As insane as this sounds, Im looking forward to this winter in Arkansas. Im actually hoping for snow. hehe Its just that in SE Texas.. winter is ... well.. slim. I think is a good adjective for it. (*man that just dont look right .. I mean description anyways)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots once again.. and I know Miss Nikki wouldnt be able to make that walk with Ms Kelli, she has back issues sometimes too. I know when she goes for a walk up at Darla's walking trail, about a mile is all she can do. But she does love it and tries to go full blast for as long as she can. hehe
We dont do oil.. but we do propane.. I had JT check the tank just this weekend. Mom was staying in the little guest house and definitely needed a little to cut the chill that was in the air. The guy that used to fill our tank was like your oil guy and would check on all his customers.. He quit and now the new company that took over his little business.. they arent that customer friendly. They say.. you could call on him in the middle of the night and him and his wife would come out and fill the tank for you. I know the folks around here miss him. The new company wouldnt have a customer here if they hadnt run him out of business, and they did run him out.
Frozen Squash? So will they continue on until they find it all or whats left will be left behind for the tractors to till under?
Hope the pain management appointment goes well and you get some relief.
Big gentle hugs.
Oh btw.. I know this wouldnt work for you, because I just remembered that yours is a stress fracture.. but.. a friend of mine swears by his chiropractor. Chiropractor would probably break every bone in your body.. dont know why I was thinking there for a minute one might help you.
I hate to tell ya its still in the mid 80's here...well at least till the end of the week...then they say we have cooler temps moving in for the weekend. I would love to quit using the A/C..lol but with Bruce sleeping days I dont see it happening till it gets good and chilly out.
ReplyDeleteI did love the pics of the snow falling..I remember the small snow we got back 1st part of the year up in Birmingham AL. It had been years since we had seen that much.
Hope your Drs trip is a good one. Think the changes in weather has everyone having some type of pain ....I know we have been having sinus headaches.
Have a good day..laters
Casey had called after her classes- She said it was snowing there (about 20 miles east of here).
ReplyDeleteNothing here at that point.
Come to find out she brought it with her! She had called again to tell me she was on her way- I looked outside and viola, it started to snow.
sigh
She is here because they will be giving me loopy drugs, and she has to drive me. My appt is for 7:30 She doesn't have class 'til 12:30.
About that lottery...
I always wonder the same thing. But then I also remember that I have to buy a ticket in order for those #'s to win. (That's where I screw up). hehehe
I would buy a home with a furnace in every room.
XOXO
Me
How depressing to have rain for over 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteBut snow is even more depressing, (isn't it)?!
I am going to get a different shot in my back today- And it's not even for pain? Something to do with, "does this make your back hurt?" (I can't remember what it is called, but whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it will make my back hurt).
XOXO
Me
I'll see your double damn and raise you 5.
ReplyDeletehehehe
XOXO
Me
You are not the only one who got it wrong...
ReplyDeleteSo much for that 30 mile line...
I have the news on- Pete is saying that the sidewalks and the roads are slick- To take extra time.
(I do SO wish the Dr. wasn't clear on the other side of town).
Slow and safe.
Anyway-
Punk does not care much whether it is 80 above or 10 below. She is out there anyway.
Yesterday was a surprise to her though- She had gone about 75 feet before she stopped andd realized it was snowing...
~
~
hehehe
XOXO
Me
Silly Pea...
ReplyDeleteThat would be "dudette" to you.
I see your forecast is calling for LOTS of mud.
But if possible can you go to the shore and get some pics when the winds come through?
Pretty please?
XOXO
Me
ReplyDeleteShe did-
But that was before I let her out...
(She pretty much takes her cue from me- If I am upset, she will bare her teeth- If I am not, she will go wag her tail, stranger or not).
XOXO
me
Pictures are one thing... Touching it is another. hehehe
ReplyDeleteAnd those workers are from Mexico- Bet they went home and sat in a warm tub for an hour or so.
My back has a lump on the vertebrae- Middle back-
(Right where that jack@ss kicked me a year ago Springtime).
Hurts like a SOB too. I am guessing it is just another bone out of place.
Sadly, you might be right about your own dx... There really are those doctors trying to $ave their hospitals some money. It backfires on them more often than not because when the patient really IS sick they will go to their doctors who will admit them anyway...
Oh I am getting upset now.
I know you need a bit of healthcare.
Let's hope this thing gets passed already.
Here's a link (and a prayer) for you.

ReplyDeleteThat is because you are the only one that is demented.
hehehe
XOXO
me
PS
Love you!
No shoveling for you either. Not 'til YOU have a dx too. Without that diagnosis I won't let you near a shovel.
ReplyDeleteI see that Caseys car needs to be cleaned off. Nothing that letting it run for 20 minutes won't cure.
I will be wearing a nice warm coat today- It is old, but it is so warm. And that's what counts.
(That and the coyote collar).
XOXO
Me
HAHAHA! (Way past giggling)...
ReplyDeleteThat's bad!
Then again--- always remember I am past 50. But not dead yet either.
XOXO
Me
Oh look! Another sassy laugher !!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen hubby gets home, you will have to set up the foot massager for him, and turn the heat on it too.
Oh, now you've made my feet want to be pedicured... Maybe when I get back home.
Taking care...

I didn't even know that Winter was anything but NICE in SE Texas...
ReplyDeleteOh you get an icestorm every now and then.
And then maybe a few flakes- (But he moved to Arkansas with you, didn't he)? hehehe
Coco beat Punk to me- running full speed at me... I held my cane straight out at her so she wouldn't collide. She swerved at the very last second, (right before I had my 1st heart failure)...
After that, Punk planted herself right at my knees.
My Dad and Alans Dad were very good friends back in the day- But I don't think he does this just because of that either. He does this because he is a good man.
Your story is cool. I only had to call once in the middle of the night. (I woke early the next day and started cooking). He showed up minutes later.
Your story is also very sad- Too many mom/pop companies having to lose their businesses over the past 20 years.
The squash will probably end up served within a week or so, Or shipped off to be frozen- (On your freezer shelves soon)!
The chiropractor wold help, but only on the little machine that stretches your back out. (I am already an inch shorter than I was 10 years ago). That is why I hang on the clothesline poles whenever I go past them.
XOXO
Me
hehehe If I jacked the heat up another 20 degrees, it would be in the mid 80's here too!
ReplyDeleteMy window a/c is still "in". I actually had the fan part of it on yesterday- (I need a blast of fresh air every now and then, and don't care how cold it feels, it smells good. Even when it's snowing.
Kelli came over last night and said they would come take the unit out this weekend.
But she is 'doctoring' her right side (Not sure what happened- she goes in this morning). Will find out then...
I told her not to worry about it. I can always get Randy to do it too.
Your sinus headaches could be allergies- One Claritin every morning will take care of those for you.
I remember your snow! Prattville (Alabama) had snow last March too- William sent me pics of Lawrence playing in it!
Very very cool, and what a treat for them!
XOXO
Me
ermmm.... I was lucky to get to work... if it stays windy and rainy I will get there...
ReplyDeletewe have mud. Lots of mud.
so are you saying you barked at the propane guy? bully.
