Thank you all. She is very sick, and with no spleen, is in a very high risk category. She is not supposed to have a fever that spikes, so was put on a prescription. Hopefully and maybe that will help. Thank you all for your thinks and prayers. ;-) As always they are greatly appreciated.
I stopped at the store on the way home, hotter than freakin' blazes out there... I got home and brought my 2 (3/4-empty) bags inside, and put my salad and fixin's away- Since it was so hot, and I don't seem to cool down like I used to, I turned the AC up/down to get cooled off, and aimed the fan straight the couch.
First mistake... I took off my brace- there is metal in it, and it makes me sweat even worse than normal- That, and the A/C in my car doesn't work. Then I made a 2nd, awful, mistake... I sat down. I have just woken up. Oops! - Dog was starving, hehehe... And I am very very late on my pills and in a heap of pain.
Hope by now she is feeling better. Hate to hear she is in the hospital. Hope you are feeling better and I feel your pain about the no AC in the car. Ya'll take care...hugs!
Prayers for Casey to be ok real soon. You too for that matter. I certainly would hate to hear you woke up from your next nap to see Miss Punk nibbling on your toes because she was hungry.
Can't believe how much hotter it is in the east and the northeast than it is here in New Mexico. I saw the nations weather map and there was quite a big difference. Makes me sorta glad to be here even when the AC is off during the daytime. I am fine with the temps till a hot flash hits me. And when that happens, it wouldn't matter if I was standing in a freezer.
"Hi Mommy! How are you today? I hope you were able to rest and sleep well last night. I'm real run down today and just got up to eat and take my meds. Greg was at work late last night and didn't even get home until 1:15am. Ugh, quite the long day and night for him. My tens is at least seeming to be staying lower today. 98.4 was this latest result. I'm also going to take probiotics staggering them with the antibiotic because my guts are terrible today. Either from the infection or antibiotics, & most likely the latter. Ok I'm going to lie back down with my honey. I'll keep you posted on my progress today. Thank you so very much for coming with me yesterday. It meant a lot to me & I'm lucky to have such a dedicated & comforting Mom! I'm sorry it was so hard on your back especially the heat too. I very much appreciated it though as I was quite scared of sepsis happening. I'll call or text when I wake. Love you MUCH MUCH! Casey
Hi everyone. I haven't heard from her yet today- or last night, but she sounded better when I spoke to her yesterday, around 3.
She has an infection; and with no spleen must just be very careful. (Her spleen was removed when she had her TP/AIT).
Anyway, Greg sets his alarm to every few hours to get her temp- I don't know how long before the antibiotics are supposed to, at least, make her temp go away for good.
Will maybe try to make some soup early today and bring it on over for her. (I don't know what else to do). But maybe too I can get them out here- (The A/C in my car doesn't work). Nasty out there. Will keep you all informed when I know something... more. hehehe
Sweet Pea; Methinks it was probably when I was about 10 or so and got my first heat exhaustion type episode doing hay. But hey, I always helped bale hay anyway. hehehe Well, until Pa began renting the fields that is. I honestly don't know how you fookin' stand it. I would be in the ocean 24/7 if I were you. XOXO Me
Annie, I'm sorry to hear that Casey was in the hospital again, I hope she is doing MUCH better by now.... Does this young lady ever get a break?!?.... I believe tens to be "temps" hehehe
Gotta love a Baby Girl like mine!!!!

Glad to see she is home and her "tens" are down.
ReplyDeleteHugs and prayers....
And here I thought her "Tens" being down meant she had two paws on the floor.....
ReplyDeleteAnd I was wondering why Casey had the tens unit instead of Anne since Anne has the back pain. But then I am easily confused.
ReplyDeleteMy Sweet Sissy,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Casey is feeling better and more glad you're feeling a bit better. When our children hurt, we hurt.
oxox,

It is very rarely nasty hot here... today was bad but we smooshed all that humidity up into the clouds, packed them up, and sent them east.....
