She has been having much pain, (daily, hourly), and has now been referred to another surgeon.
We met with him yesterday afternoon.
He has described the surgery as quite simple, even 'outpatient'. (Say "YAY")!
During another EGD, (esophagogastroduodenoscopy ), her surgeon will go to the very bottom of her stomach and cut the pyloric sphincter so her food can more easily move onward.
As it is now, her stomach must actually (severely) cramp up to be able to pass her food onward; thus accounting for the awful radiating pain.
Please keep her in your thoughts.

Sorry to hear she is having problems again, I think of her often and say a prayer for her

ReplyDeleteLike me, Miss Casey needs a new body!
ReplyDeleteMy Prayers for her to feel better soon. And hopefully this surgery will help straighten things out a little for her.
Andrew when he was a month old was what we called the "exsorist" (sp...think Linda Blair) baby....feed him 4 oz of formula and get 8 or more back with blood curddling screams...and we had to use a bed sheet to keep the carpets and furniture clean.
ReplyDeleteThey had to go in and cut the pyloric muscle as it was too tight...and wasn't letting his formula pass like it should. It was done in the hospital as an inpatient only because of his age. We went in and it was done on a Friday night (it was an emergency given he was in pain an not feeding correctly and gaining weight)...and we went home on Sunday. Today we'd probably been sent home the next day.
I hope this makes her feel so much better( I know it did Drew at the time).
Will keep her and the family in our prayers!
xoxo

Sweet Denise;
ReplyDeleteThank you too- I can only imagine how you got through the next 2 decades- because I sure as hell aren't dealing with it too well right now.
I think that, minus the intense cramping, she will feel much better.
I see a certain sadness in her eyes that I have never seen before...

Nope. Mopar does not carry what we need.
ReplyDeleteLifting her up, as usual. You guys are never "out of the woods", so to speak. I know how that
ReplyDeletefeels, but one day at a time and I guess we learn to live with it. I am sure she will get through
this with flying colors and go on to do very well. Just believe!!!
Love u all,
Bev xoxo
Casey is OK-
ReplyDeleteAnd another appointment yesterday to discuss what Dr found.
While Minnesota not only saw the closure, but could not even get the US instrument through it with pressure, Green Bay found nothing of the sort.
I am SO sick and tired of this.
GB did suggest going back to Minnesota.
Why?
We have NO answers yet as to why she is in such pain...
Thank you to all.
