Hard to believe now but Mr. Miller beat us ALL to the woods.

And he was with Mama Milly...
(I had to wait for my 'she')...

She can be SO pokey...
And mean too!

After I found Miller, we got to go down to the river.
I thought Mama Milly would be there too.
But she wasn't.

Mr Miller was too, but 'she' didn't get that picture.

She let us play for a long time.
But then it was time for us to come back up the cliff.

Yeah, we were kinda soggy.
And yeah, I probably shouldn't have rolled in the dirt.
(Miller shouldna either)...

So?
But I like me like this...

"She" doesn't though.
And she tells me to roll in the grass...
(See? "mean" she is).

So I roll.
Then me and Mr. Miller run home.

But we get caught and have to go back.

and STILL hafta get washed off?

I tried to sneak up on her and steal her ball.

(But I do know that everyone answers to someone).

Good Morning All;

This Chinese proverb showed up on my screen earlier:
Words whispered on Earth are heard in Heaven like thunder; evil done in dark places the gods see like lightning.

I spent an awful lot of time downtown yesterday. Going to each police station (city and county).
Then in a last ditch effort, to go back to the courthouse and leave the info on the Registered Sex Offender with the judge/family court commissioner.
I also left him a little note.

I haven't heard back from ANYone.
Should I have expected to?

Curious now...

If I didn't see where the bee went,
Does that mean he doesn't have a nest?

If I didn't catch the woodpecker that did this,
Then maybe there isn't really a hole in my house?

Because if I, (yes, I said "I"), can't prove that this person actually resides at a different address, then he must not.

Red Flags; Intuition, and A Registered Sex Offender

Good Early Morning;
I can't sleep.
My head is throbbing, and my stomach feels as though it is ripped from my throat.

As I am sitting here, gathering my thoughts, it occurred to me that I was more than a bit chilled. I threw on a blanket... Then finally have turned the thermostat back up to 67.

Still chilled, but the smell of reigniting the furnace is gone now. That new 'burn' smell always bothers me as it burns that bit of dust off the system.

Punk came and laid between my cold feet and the register.
Sassy dog.
Next time she will lay ON my feet, or get shooed away.

We went to court again on Gabriel's behalf yesterday.
Roberta has now received the formal complaint against her. She also decided to have her 'new' boyfriend accompany her to court. (A completely inappropriate appearance as far as I am concerned).

But wait... What if anything, of Berta's parenting skilss are appropriate of late?

In the complaint, she admitted to using marijuana for the last 6 months of her pregnancy! What effect this will have on our Sam remains to be seen...
 

Intuition?
~I absolutely KNEW there was a reason, way beyond me being concerned about Berta calling the cops on me...

Not that the intake worker gave a good damn, but Casey did inform her before we went into the courtroom that this guy is a "Registered Sex Offender".

Did it make the case worker then take note?
Nope.

Did she spare a few seconds to even inform the judge?
Nope.

The charge that he was found guilty of and spent years in prison for?
948.02(2) (Second degree sexual assault of a child).

During the hearing, it was found that Roberta could pick up Gabriel on her own, and NOT have supervised visitation.

I am SICKENED (and stunned) with this new recommendation.
As Casey was too...

(Mostly though, afraid that Gabriel will be either harmed; or simply disappear on us during one of these visits).

We left that hearing, (Casey and I), came back here, grabbed a few papers that I printed up from the website for verification- and brought them to the caseworkers office.

She wasn't "IN" at this point, but the receptionist DID stamp the papers as "received"

Then over to the States office building, where we met with Turners case manager. As it stands, there seems to be a conflict with his registered address.
His address for the DOC is one place. The address that he lives at is another, miles away.
(And need I mention that he is too very close to a park/playground AND two schools)???

This worker, though pleasant and caring, really did not seem too troubled with hearing this.

She told us to find out the owners name of the house they are living in, and go from there.
    ?

I guess there really is no one that is truly concerned with this information.

We have all been led, by this FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY, that we know where these convicts live.

Word to the wise:
DO NOT EVER BELIEVE THAT YOU KNOW WHERE SEX OFFENDERS LIVE.

I also went to this site. CLICK HERE. And found out that he has quite a record with the State of Wisconsin; although I saw no drug charges.
(Again, enter "Michael A. Turner" if you want to know more).

• Where the hell does Roberta find these perverts?
• What the hell makes them (or herself) so attractive?
• And what in the EFFING hell is she even thinking in the first place?

The state worker said Turner had just been in, and yes Roberta was with him.
So Roberta does know about his record. ~WTFH?
Is your own head spinning yet???

Casey and I made tracks to the other side of town then; giving the temporary foster family a copy of his file from the DOC.
(Not sure what opportunities for denial of visitation this will give them, if any, but at least now they know too).

Trust me on this...
If anything bad happens to Gabriel, or if he gets 'lost', some heads will roll.

And I will start right at the State level, then CPS, Social Services.
Then the court commissioner, and work my way down.

Today then, I shall make sure that the city police and the sheriffs department are also given these papers with the conflicting addresses for this guy.
(I have to go to both because this guy lives in the city, but his address with the DOC is out of town).

Oh, and have you ever wondered how the state keeps track?

Q. How do they verify where sex offenders live?
A.They send out a letter, and the perv simply has to reply to that.

Then I shall have to find out who Gabriel's GAL is, and to ensure that he also has copies of this all.

My anxiety minds bigtime.
So very hard to function with all of that.
That, and the fact that I have had a major headache for a couple of days now.
Comes and goes.
Needs a shot, but no 'how' to get that in...

It is SO hard to be doing all of this running around when a simple phone call, (and a double check on their own damned computers), would verify all of this.

And if it wasn't for Gabriel's safety I would NOT be doing everyone elses job for them either.

***Wouldn't you think that all of this would upset someone (besides myself and Casey); and that there would actually BE someone who gives a sh*t about it all???

Sadly, if you thought that, you would be wrong.

Any lawyers out there?
Somebody PLEASE give me a leg to stand on.

For now I am going to try to rest a bit-
These damned pills are clearly not working.

Good Morning Everyone;
From what I hear, most of you are safe and sound. I have yet to hear from my friend Wyck. But I know that they did leave Baytown, following mandatory evac orders.

After waiting to hear from Miss Jenne, I finally called. (Of course her phone does not work at her house, so no answer there).
I called Aaron; and he reassured me that all was well.
Jenne called last night then, using Aaron's phone- Nice to hear their voices after praying, reading, watching all night and day...

But then Mr. Isaiah came on the phone.
He literally demanded to know why I lived so far away?
(Will have to buy that boy an atlas)... hehehe

I have only a few moments here as I will be picking up Gabriel and then Roberta, for another visitation. Twice now and it is raining both times. And no, our rain is not courtesy of Ike; rather a cold front moving in on us. Winds out of the northeast...

So many of you are wondering about Master Gabriel.
He is well. I was able to pick him up yesterday afternoon so he could visit with us. (Roberta, myself and Casey too).
He is well-taken care of, and even seems to have a brighter spirit.
***I am sorry that I cannot respond to every personal message on here; but I promise to try to keep up with your comments below too.

 

Here is one of my comments back to Sheila yesterday on the blog about Gabriel and his health and welfare...

Back to Jennifer...
Having spoken to Aaron just as soon as they'd heard about Gabriel, Jennifer and Aaron have agreed that for them to try to adopt Gabriel would be best for all concerned.

Seems everyone balks at the "Texas" end of it.
Too much paperwork?!? Oh give me a damn break...

But then speaking to the supervisor, Jennifer reiterated my own first thoughts...

"Gabriel's life should not be compromised because somebody is afraid to file some paper work. "

"When she heard we were in TX she said something about it taking a lot of time because of an "Interstate Compact Agreement" where they have to contact TX and TX has to do a thorough check of our home. She didn't seem too keen on the idea. I told her I didn't care how long it took."

And then these words from a later note...

"I'm no hero.
(We are) just doing what any self respecting (Christian) people would do."

"Also, pray for us. 'Ike' is going to hit us with constant 75+mph winds, with the probability of tornadoes, and we aren't expected to have any power for 2-3 days.

"Aaron is in the Sheriff's posse and will probably be at the Expo Center where they're housing (a huge # of) evacuees and National Guard, most of the weekend."

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.


(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports.
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'


(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.


(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour)
They will be under strict orders NOT to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out.
Neither the president, nor any other politician will be able to touch it.


(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.


(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.


(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand.

When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.


(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.


(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.
