A few weeds in the fields...

.

Good Morning All;

What a difference a few days make here...

That last snowfall making it tough to do anything but 'march' (or slide) back to the woods with the pups.
Given the mess I have made of my back, I chose to do the marching, and step over the snow.
(No pain, no gain)?

UGH.

.

.

Miss Punk (left), and her Mama Milly ~back by the woods...
(Miss Punks "Golden" daddy is really showing in her coat now)!

.

.

My little Punk always goes through this awful "I've~lost~my~mama" thing every time we go back there. (And only because she refuses to leave me behind, alone).
By the time we get back there, Mama Milly is long gone.
She has usually gone down by the river, and finds something rank to be rolling in.
And in the meanwhile, Punk pretends to look for her. Knowing our routine, she gives up quickly and comes running to wherever I have gone to.

.

.

.

Then waits for Mama Milly to return...

.

.

Soon Milly is back... and their fun begins!

.

.

Then they BOTH go down to the river...
Punk always waits for Milly to get all the way down before she will go.
(I do not know why)...

.

.

Waiting for her mama to get all the way down.
Maybe she doesn't want to get tripped or to fall?
.
.

But getting back to my title...

There is a saying that if you don't like the weather in Wisconsin, to wait a minute and it'll change.

.

Two days ago, as Punk waits once more...

.

.

.
.
Contrasted rather sharply by yesterdays photo...

The snowmobile trail closed four days ago... Good thing, right!
.

What a difference a few days of rain, and temps in the upper 30's, made!
.
.
.
.
Punk runs down by the now 'open' river...
And I'd taken this picture right before I'd heard the "splash"
(Lasting all of about 4 seconds before bounding right out too)!
.
.

And with that soggy pup came a fast trek home to get her dried off too. Talk about "dashing through the snow."
She has been sleeping on and off ever since we got back here too. (Mostly 'on'). hehehe

Her back must be bothering herself too. She is slow to get up wherever she lies down for the last few days; and am happy I had asked Dr. Spires for some extra of that Rimadyl the last time we were there. I haven't given her any yet, will keep an eye on her.

So between the two of us, gee, aren't we quite a pair?!?

I have just gotten my forecast here.
The subject line reads: "Goodbye sunshine, hello snow". They are forecasting another 1~4" of new snow by tomorrow.
It should also read: "Goodbye 30's, hello winter"

(Guess that "wait a minute and it'll change" must also apply here)!
So does, "Here we go again!"

Hope all is well (and warm), in your little corner of the world!

Love to all!

XOXO
Anne

Good Morning ALL!

Having gone to the fridge for a pick~me~up shot of caffeine, (read: Wild Cherry Pepsi); I found something inside that assaulted my delicate olfactory sense.

The following became obvious to me to me in a heartbeat:
Overnight, as I lay sleeping; something crawled in my refigerator.
"It" has now died.

*From the smell of "it", I believe it might be yet another dead, rotting chupacabra.
(See photo above of one I had taken in the woods 2 years ago)...
.
.
Damn things.
(And here I thought my goat would be safe if I kept him in the fridge).
>sigh<

Time to find the bleach, and scrub.

Have a good one.
Love to all!

POLLY DID IT!!!
.

Good Morning All;

Seems an odd Sunday already... No Green Bay Packers Game. My helmet will just have to wait 'til next weekend!

And that's OK with me; (in that I won't be having to jump up and down today at all).

I hurt my darned back the other day carrying something that would have been better carried by two. Right now, it even hurts to take a deep breath.
This too shall pass. (It always does)...

If you have ever 'thrown' your back out, you know that with this pain comes one heck of a tough time to even fall to sleep...

I went upstairs early, wishing only for the sandman. (Sad, that).
But I did fall asleep before too long.

Then comes the process of trying to remain asleep.
~Telling myself before sleep came NOT to move. (Didn't work too well though).
So inbetween those hours of a waking, painful sleepiness I did try to roll a few times. Big mistake.
I have been up since about 2:40AM.

These waking hours coming only after having been woken up quite fiercely by a thump on my skull.

Not fun.
Certainly not funny either.
And especially no fun when one is startled even more painfully out of sleep.

A bit of background here...
The "thing" pictured at the top of the page is a handheld wooden massager, given to me by Polly some years ago. I call him Arnie, and I keep Arnie on the headboard of my bed when it is not down here rubbing someones back.
Up until last night, keeping it there was never a problem.

A bit MORE background too...
I have a cat. His name is Sputnik.

***This cats sole purpose in life, until last night, was to catch any mowisses that would dare to enter my home; and to pester the dogs at least twice every day.
(Mr. Sputnik gets very high accolades in BOTH of those departments).

Back to last night now...

...As I lay sleeping, (dreamless, but still asleep), of a sudden, something collides directly with the middle back portion of my noggin; hitting it with an obvious catapulted force.
WTH?

This was not a mere 'gee, it fell off the headboard' thing... No, this "thing" was actually thrown at my head with great force.

Simultaneously, I just about jump out of my dang jammies, (definitely out of the bed), and come fully awake; feeling Arnie laying on one of my pillows.
repeat, WTH???

Until last night, Arnie never moved of his own accord...
...(At least I don't think he ever did)...

Time for a bit of light and some eyesight too.
Being that my back was hurting, I could not reach my lamp.

Nor could I even find my glasses!
Clearly, they were NOT where I had left them last night!?!??
(OK, OK,
not so 'clearly' then)!
...And even Miss Punk, lying sound asleep at the foot of the bed, was more than a little confused too.

With great effort, (and a bit more cussing at my head and my back), I find my glasses 4 feet north of where they had been taken off, and 3 feet down.
These too seemingly having been tossed off the nightstand by some godforsaken unknown sweeping force...

Locating them, AND the lightswitch, I finally have eyesight (AND light)! What more would one possibly need at 2:40 in the morning??? And with that light came the discovery that Mr. Damn Sputnik was trying to curl himself up all comfy~like, upon my headboard.
(Nice of you to dust it off for me, Sputty, but no you may NOT sleep there).

And yes, I had to fight the urge to bat that cat off the headboard!!!

.

Cnv1009.jpg......Cnv1297.jpg
Sputty as a 'working' cat........ . Sputty as a pain in the @ss

.

Not being able to fall back to sleep, what to do but to come back here and read. Yes, I have been running around silly on the web here today...

Casey and Greg got here pretty late (um, 'early') ~and with herself in pain all over again. She sleeps right now. Thankfully so.

And I do believe that before the day is done I shall be napping a bit myself.
*Makes mental note to close and lock the cat in bathroom before heading back upstairs at any point...

Have a wunnaful Sunday!

XOXO
Anne

With These Words...

With These Words...
With These Words... magnify

Good Morning Everyone!

I see that I am back!
How cool! (Well, for ME it is)!

Casey has been up/down all night long, once more in obvious pain. Too much for her to manage on her own, and so she has taken a few pills.... Please keep praying!

As for myself; yes, I have pinched myself more than a few times already...
Aside from a few bruises from all that pinching, all is well. And I hope the very same holds true for all of you.

Having received an email from Customer Care two days ago, I feel as though I have been holding my breath ever since.

With these words, my cautious hope sprung:

Hello Anna,

This is a message from Yahoo! Customer Care-Account Services.
My name is Brandlyn. I am contacting you due to your recent post on a Yahoo! blog. This post stated you were having an issue with Yahoo! services.
Your email address has been gathered from the posting and will be used solely to assist you with the problem.
I understand your 360 page was recently deleted. I would like to investigate the cause.
In order to do so I will need a little information from you.

When was your page deleted?
Was everything deleted?
When did you sign on with Prodigy?

Also please feel free to include any further information that you feel better explains the issue.

We apologize for the frustration that this issue has no doubt caused and will do our best to find the cause.

Kindest Regards,
Brandlyn

And I don't even know where they saw my complaint because in truth, I went a little crazy posting my notes all over.

...From any site at Yahoo! that I could connect to, ie: even Rumor Control, links on Yahoo's help pages, (even IF they did not apply to my 'shituation').

...To the Yahoo! 360 Product Blog, (which hasn't been updated since October 24th, but all comments are supposedly read).

...To AT&T. (Do not get me started on these creeps).

~Didn't ALL our problems begin AFTER AT&T merged with Yahoo anyway???
...To MyBlogLog pages where Yodel Anecdotal has found a little corner of the web too. Join My Community at MyBloglog!

...This all, in addition to speaking with TONS of people from both Yahoo! and AT&T; and the vicious cycle they each have of sending me from one place back to the other. (Made more than a bit dizzy by that all too; as I became their daily ping~pong ball).

Not to mention I might have even been a bit ~ahem~ "surly"

.
I DO believe Miss Beep had promised to call me "The Queen" if I ever found me.
Well, I found me!
Yup Sweetie, I am holding you to that.
(Besides, "Her Royal Highness" sounds a far cry better than 'Snotball' anyway)!
hehehe

.

.

And so, I am thinking that it is high time for me to go fire up the camera again!

Happy Saturday!!!!

Love to all!

Good Friday Morning!
At least it is trying to be...

And I am hoping that perhaps I am to be "FOUND" after all...

Maybe.
MayBe!!!
MAYBE?!?!

I have gotten a note from Yahoo; (seemingly too, a caring and intelligent person on the other end).
The note, asking for my patience.
Really, I am TRYING to locate THAT too.
I believe this is the 9th new support number that I have received. So hope and patience are both trying to abandon me...

Still I am 'hanging in there', so to speak.

The difference to me, being that this note came from their 'blog' customer care department; saying they had "seen a recent posting on a Yahoo! blog. This post stated you were having an issue with Yahoo! services."
The note concluded with, "We apologize for the frustration that this issue has no doubt caused and will do our best to find the cause."

Yes, I replied, and even received a reply to that note.

Oh PLEASE say this long wait is almost over.
Wouldn't it be nice???

Two of you, thus far, have told me that I have 'reappeared' on your friends lists. I thought maybe I would just put my replies within here...

************

Dear Sweet BonBon...
Most everything (else) is going well. And I hope the same is holding true for you also?
Believe me, I wish there was some way that anyone could/would be able to help me get my old blogs back too.

************

Sweet Nic!
I am thinking that "frustrated" really IS the very best word to be using.
(I am also thinking 'impotent' comes pretty close to how I feel when I write and write, and call and call, and seemingly no one understands nor offers to 'fix' me).
As for not having anything important to write about?
You are wrong about your comparison.
Simply because if you are alive, then you have something VERY important to be writing about.
And you, my friend, with ALL of your passions for living, are very much alive!

(Oh, and calling her a 'pussy' would have been stretching it, even for me and how I felt about her)...

************

Sweet RPD...
I'm not too sure, but it 'seems' that when this happens, and I hit the back arrow, my comment generally IS posted; even if it claims that it is not... (and yes, sometimes it takes upwards of 3 or 4 tries too).
But then again, I am a hard person to shut up if I think I have something important to say!
hehehe
How come everyone else got a new camera from Santa??? And not me???
I suffer the "pea green with envy" disease...
sigh.

************

Sweet PeachieBaby!
hehehe, I just HAD to write that!
Laughing at your comments disappearing right before your eyes!
Too funny!
But they will be back too. And I shall have to send you a quick comment... (if I can)!
And your blogs are there too.
When I'd posted yesterdays blog, Punks blog seemed to be gone; yet as I clicked on the blog itself, there was Punks, in its entirety.
I think when Yahoo made the decision NOT to 'fix' any current/new bugs, they did themselves a HUGE disservice.

************

Sweet BEEEEEEP!
Are you done beeping yet??? Hopefully it didn't go off last night...
I just checked your friends list, and didn't see "ANNA~ANNA" anywhere.
sigh
Bet I got removed before I even got found. Dang.
How the heck is that possible???? (Did you click on me then)?
But maybe they ARE making progress too.
I shall cross everything, squeeze my eyes shut, and pray like the dickens...
As far as Multiply goes, I have such a hard time reading blogs there. Just too many flashing things that set off my head BIGtime. But I promise to try again too.
I have always admired your soapbox Sweet Connie, so do not give it up for me.
You have chutzpah. And I like that in my friends!
"Clean" the yard only means to remove the snow before the next snowfall (or thaw) would happen. (Either could be disastrous if it is left alone with Mother Nature)...

5 tries! YAY!!! (Beats the heck out of 6)!

************

Sweet Lisa...
Your dogs called. Said since they are so good at 'fetch' that they would try to go fetch my missing blogsite for me.
I also went to your friends list, and was once again MIA.

Or are you two seeing something I'm not?
Hmmmm....

I love HOPE!

(It has been almost too long without it)!

Love.

Peace.

And right back at you all, The HAPPIEST New Year ever!

************

Have a WUNNAFUL Friday!

XOXO
Anne

And this, just received from Miss Chevy!!!

I have found those definitions to be close enough for my taste right about now.

And yes, I have resorted to begging.
(And if they want me on my knees, I will go there too)...

I have written to, texted, blogged about, called, threatened, whined, cajoled and now begged for their attention.

Dear Freakin' Yahoo;

You have taken away my blog FOR NO GOOD REASON, and with NO explanation.

As for the many friends I had at that site, please mouse over this next line.

.....>[deleted]<<.....

That is how I appear to them within the comments I have left on their blogs.

I have written to Yahoo Answers, thinking that someone else might have gone through this same bunch of doo~doo.

So for the gal that got her undies in a twist when I had written to Yahoo Answers, I only have this to say.

Yes, I know that Y~360 is changing.
You are wrong to say it is closing, per se. Such is not the case.

And no, you ignorant pussturd, I will not die if I don't have access to my original blog.

A matter of life or death? Hardly.

A matter of keeping my daughters doctors and surgeons (at numerous hospitals), informed as to her medical problems and progressions?
Yes. It was/IS very important to all of us when THAT is taken into consideration.
You see, I have a child, 20, who will probably be needing a pancreatic transplant at some point, given the fact that she has Idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitis.

By 'losing' my original blog, Yahoo has very effectively removed the access that her doctors and surgeons had.

.

.

.

.

But you swear at me? How freakin' DARE you!
But I am glad that when I complained about your comment, Yahoo deleted it almost as quickly as I had reported you.

My daughter has had no less than 13 surgeries in the past few years. (In case you deem this UNimportant somehow).

Just this morning, I have received this note from Chevy when I had asked her to possibly send me the link to my MASH page.
(Yahoo has effectively 'lost' that too, as she told me I no longer appeared there either)!

No big deal. I hated Mash anyway. Too noisy and flashy for me.
Like Multiply is also. But it IS good that I have saved my thoughts there, in addition to printing my blogs out for the grandbabies...

Here is Chevys note after we had established that I was not to be found on Mash either.

RE: Huge favor
I don't blame you a bit for being upset, angry, pissed, sad, and whatever else you feel. We get so connected to people and places on the Internet. It's like pulling us out of our home. Yahoo once deleted my group that I had for 4 years. We had over 4,000 members and poof it was gone. Never did get it back! We formed a new group but it will never replace the old group where 4 years worth of people's lives and recipes were stored. I grieved for a long time for that group. It may sound silly to some but it was a part of my life.
They still have your blog somewhere! I did find out later that if I would have pushed the issue we might have gotten our group back because Yahoo doesn't actually delete anything for months. They simply change the URL. Hard getting through to them though
!

How to get them to listen? Read? Comprehend?
Those are damn tall orders given my own experience with them as of late.

I received a phone call from Miss Marie last night. In this call, she informed me that she was getting all of my email returned to her when she sent it to either the "OnTheFarm" or "Anna_Loves_Life" accounts that I use.

Great!!!
..."NOT!"
And here I thought that everyone has just been too busy with the holidays, and recovery, to write, send, or even forward emails to me. I have, however, been receiving many SPAM messages within my inbox there.
I do wonder how they manage to get through?

Checking Caseys email account, there are some messages for her that seem to have gotten through.
(Remember, her own original blog pages are also missing).
She too has had to create a new email and BLOG.
CLICK HERE FOR HER NEW BLOG.

So it is not ONLY our blogs that have disappeared, but our emails lost in cyberspace somewhere. Maybe you also recall of my writing about Unca BoBBie, and how his own emails to me had gone missing... Mine to him apparently also gone somewhere. i can only imagine that his last weeks might have been terribly lonely and frustrating for him as he started his little laptop every day...

but who the hell cares?

Pleas fall on deaf, untrained and ignorant ears.
Comments made to the Yahoo 360 News Blog site are ignored. My most recent comment being left early this morning. (And oddly enough, I cannot even GET TO that blog anymore)? Maybe YOU can. Do click on the above and let me know.

Rumor Control?
How awful for you to have been bested by this farce. After all, it is YOUR own top page that reads: "This page is dedicated to the dissemination of accurate information to the Y/360 community through the transition period."

Yahoo 360 Rumor Control pages have been (ahem), 'ASSured' by Matt Warbutron that Yahoo reads ALL of the comments to their Y~360 news blog.
I am beginning to think that Mr. Warbutron is less than honest with a site that has only taken a lot of the pressure off of himself.
It also occurs to me that Mr. Warbutron does NOT have a child with an ideopathic, or chronic, disease.

About 3 months ago, I'd had a problem with Yahoo changing its email format, back to some prehistoric version of the mid 1990's.

.

Perhaps you remember that?
Perhaps you also remember it happening to me last month too?

Those two episodes being relatively simple for Yahoo to "fix".
Both times it was taken care of quite fast, with apparently no lasting, or lingering, problems.
(Or are there)?

I am sure I will have more to write about shortly.
Especially AFTER I print this out and also send it to Yahoo and AT&T.

I had heard that my complaint was sent to the Engineering Department. Apparently, they also have trouble comprehending and fixing problems.

Can I do better? Probably not.

But then again, that is what I have been paying Yahoo for, for the last ten years or so.
One day soon I shall have to figure out exactly how much I have $pent on such a shameful service.

Hope all is well with all of you.
Have a wunnaful day.

XOXO
Anne

ARF! for 2008!!!

ARF! for 2008!

Yup, it's me again, "Punk"!

Didja miss me?
Well, I did start to write yesterday morning... And my "she" was pretty sick with her head again. I had to attend to her, or I would have finished my blog. The little one took her in for a shot. I got to ride along too! ~And I only barfed once! I haven't done that for a while, and am thinking that as long as 'she' was that way, that I should be too. (I think she is better today).

I started to write, and then thought I might do a few pictures...

And I went ALL the way back to January 1st of 2007...
It was so warm, (almost 50), and we had taken a walk to the woods. We still had no snow to play in, so I had to find something to play in...

.

I found the river!
.

.

And even tried to catch a fish!
.

.

.

I didn't last too long in there, but I sure had fun!
.
Once I get dried off at home, Mama Milly comes indoors too!
.

Mostly we behave...
.
And then it is time for my nap!
.

I love my naps!
.
.
Later on that same month was the little ones birthday!
They took lots of pictures, but I didn't even get a doggie bag!!!

..

First, the little ones friend Jenny Mella comes over and they get ready.
.

Jenny is LOTS of fun too.
('Cept she sat on my friend Sputty once).
.

"She" and that little guy, Gabriel!

.

Zoe and "Sassy" at The Olive Garden too!

.

.

There is ALWAYS lots of work to do...
.
And I help when I can too!
.

'She' started to trim the shrub,
and I pulled the tangled branches out.
.
.
.

A hard job, but I manage.
(Alone too).
.
Mama Milly is NO help.
.
She just sits and watches me!
.

Even AFTER I brought her a branch...
Maybe when I am 11 or 12 I can just sit and watch too.
But for now I am having fun.
.
.
I make a really big pile too!
.
Mama Milly just watches AGAIN...
.
.

.

But then it is time for my nap!
.

Did I tell you I love my naps??

.

.

The next month came, and really, I got LOTS of naps. It was so cold and snowy that it hurted my paws to play outside too long...

But we STILL got to take walks. Just shorter ones.

.

.

.

Mama Milly calls me a wimp when it snows,
cuz HER paws don't get too freezie like mine...
.

Mama hollers at me all the time!
But I hear tell that that is what Mamas are s'posed to do.

.

The other little one,
the WART,
got sick and went to the hospital to get her gallbladder out.
She died.
~Something about a 'vegas' nerve?
(But after about 20 minutes her heart was beating good all over again)!
YAY!
Oops, I mean "ARF" !!!

(She really didn't know any better)...

.

BUT, she was well enough to come home the next day even!

.

We played inside LOTS...
The little boy had a problem lifting the black bar...
.
.
.
So I showed him HOW it was done...
.
.
.
.

.

.

But then ONE of us dropped it on the Warts foot...
.
Cnv0906
OUCH!
Er, I mean "ARF"

.

.

And so Mama Milly and I both had to take a nap.
I love naps!!!!
(Mama Milly, not so much)...
.
Besides, she usually naps out in the entrance when its so cold.
.
.
.

She even gets a blanket sometimes!

.

.

The little boy Gabriel has his own blanket too.
He can nap where ever he wants to...

.

Sometimes he even falls asleep on the floor!
.
.
.

Sometimes as soon as he is done eating...
..
.
.
My little one naps too...
.

Cuz lots of times she doesn't feel too good...
And then she won't play with anybody.
.
.
Some days she feels real good.
.
And other days...
.
she REALLY feels no pain!!!
.
.
.

...Even when she SHOULD be feeling it!
hehehe
.
Sometimes we go to a big place in Milwaukee called Froedtert.
This year we went about 5 times...
Those pics were taken there after one of her nasty surgeries.
.
.
.
.
Sometimes she makes herself be in pain too!
hehehe
Yes, she was riding that trike!
.
It was kinda hot that day.
And when it gets too hot, I get into my pool.
.
.
And it cools me right off!
.
.
I like the flowers too! They are all over the place!
.
Just not anymore cuz it's snowing AGAIN!!!
.
.
.
See what I mean???
.
And just like last year,
maybe Mama Milly and I can get some more "quality time"
TOGETHER!!

That's me, on the right.
My mama is kinda cute too...
.
.
And so, from BOTH of us, we would like to wish for you...
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
.
.
A whole year full of your bowl being at least half full.
A whole year to be warm.
A whole year to be happy.
A whole year of flowers.
A whole year to be loved.
A whole year that nobody EVER has to go to the vet.
A whole year to be kind to everyone you meet and know.
A whole year of smiles.
A whole year of peace within.
And a whole year of being surrounded by those that love you!
A whole year of "quality".
A whole year of "enough".
AND,
A whole year of getting your naps at the right time too!
.
.
.

Mama Milly and ME too!
.
Here's a big "ARF" to start 2008 off right!!!
Love Always,
The Punk!
~~~
