What beauty hath bloomed?
(All opened overnight on Wednesday)!
(All opened overnight on Wednesday)!
Good Morning All;
Casey is OK.
On Tuesday, she began her 2nd set of 6 infusions.
It took a while, but Nick got it running well. (No blown veins either).
Ask Casey what she thinks of having to receive more infusions...
hehehe
She has taken to craving oyster crackers...
LQQKEE LQQKEE! -"A BIG one!"
Where did that cracker go?!?
After the infusion was done, Punk got to play fetch for a few minutes.
in Casey's backyard...
I stopped at Kelli and Tim's on my way home...
Thought the moonrise through the old pines was gorgeous...
Miss Punk played with Kelli's service door in their garage-
Going in and out and in and out......
As you already know, we were gone to see Dr. Sutherland last weekend.
While we were gone, many things disappeared from around here.
Make that many many things... hehehe
A zillion loads of cabbage to still be harvested, but they keep on working-
day in and day out.
No rest for the weary.
{Which is really 'punny' because it is Wery's that rent out the land}. hehehe
The sweet corn is all gone too- even the stalks have disappeared; harvested for Fall decorations.
Still, Punk rescued one cob. Inside that cob was...
An itty bitty baby corncob! All neatly nestled within its Mama's folds-
Everyone say, "Awwwwwwwwww...."
It has been nothing but rain, with 45MPH wind gusts here- The rain has even found its way to my basement again! What the heck? hehehe
Nothing bad, just 2 little wind~driven 'rain rivers', not any wider than my finger.
(Autumn came in like a lion)!
Those winds are to slowly die down today. Thankfully they have left my roof intact, (though I probably can't say the same thing for the old shed).
Will have to check that out when the sun comes up.
Highs today to be somewhere around 60°, if that. ( CLICK for GB weather).
Getting a bit chilly. (Time for chili too)!
We were to go to Uncle Frank's auction down in Appleton this morning, but I don't think that'll happen. I need to save the petrol for our return trip for Casey's tests. (I also still need to get that oil changed).
I'll now reply to your comments on yesterdays somewhat religious blog.
I meant no disrespect to anyone, or to their Faith; except perhaps 'Mommalea' who, for whatever silly reason she has, has made it her mission in life to disrespect myself.
Around here, you get what you give. Pretty simple, that.
(Some people just choose to to learn that the hardest way possible). *sigh*
My love to all.
May you all have a "wunnaful" weekend!
XOXO
Me
great --glad the farm girl is doing well well you know --
ReplyDeletehere they are harvesting cabage to and all the corn is vanishing--we grow a lot of corn here in my environs--
Casey looks like she's in good spirits. Nice photos. Send some rain here it's been very dry.
ReplyDeleteWe had the rains Thursday, winds Friday and today more rain. Am happy that Casey looks better, the Asters are beautiful. Good luck with the next trip
ReplyDeleteMornin' Mommy!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm.... That was my last bag of oyster crackers... I laughed when they said my folic acid count was really high! LOL! Greg picked me up some saltines last night and since I'm pretty weak and nauseous this morning, I'm starting out with those before heading for a bowl of cereal....
They seem to have filled that wagon to its maximum load!!! AMAZING!! I'll have to take a look at how much of the fields have been cleared the next time I am out there... Forgot to look the last time I was out there...
The picture of the moon is gorgeous! I'm glad you got to capture that! Also glad Punkie got to play a bit when we stopped here the other day... She does like the little yard by my apartment!
I'm not a big fan of what these infusions are doing to me: migraines that are the worst I've ever had, feeling weaker than heck, muscle pains, etc.... But hopefully this next trip to MN will be the one that figures out where the heck this iron is going to!! Then we can get that fixed so I don't have to go through these infusions again... UCKY!
Ok, off to read your blog from yesterday! (Maybe I should've started with that one and finished with this cheerful one... Sounds like someone needs to be set straight...) I don't understand why some people think it's okay to just hurt others.... Especially online... It's like they will say anything online that they wouldn't DARE say to someone's face in real life.... Wonder why that is different? Anywho, off to read there.....
Love you MUCH MUCH!
~Casey
Good morning Dear Anne,
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely!! Such a nice thing to wake up to.
Casey is so cute pouting and eating her crackers.
Miss Punk is as ever, so cute chasing her toys. What a joy she is.
Your moonrise is beautiful also.
Would love to have some of those cabbages. YUMMY!!!!
The baby ear is adorable. LOL.
oxox,
snotball
the cracker thing is DIRECTLY due to the low iron... it makes you crave starch.... or dirt or ice.
ReplyDeleteI love this bittycorn!! find about twenty more and stir fry them!!!
that pouting Casey picture is SOOOOO going on the wall.
I love cabbage and I love corn.....my mama must have been in those fields the day I was born!
ReplyDeleteHehehehe!
So good to see Casey in good spirits. I do wish she didn't have to endure so much, but she takes it all with a grain of salt. Or should I say...Oyster crackers. :)
That Punk reminds me so much of a child in every thing she does. In and out, in and out, in and out.....does she by chance turn light switches off and on, off and on too? And just like a child, she plays hard and sleeps like an angel.
Awwwwwwww!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see Casey feeling much better and she does look much better too! I am hungry for some corn on the cob now!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteSweet Heidi!
Each day that little farm girl gets better.
Sometimes little bitty steps- Sometimes those steps seem even smaller than that- But oh! so much better than 2 years ago...
Harvest the same.
We must live on about the same latitude lines-
If I remember...
Hang on...
...I am around the 44th line.
People believe that corn is the best biofuel. That is wrong. It is a form of grass. Would have to check my much earlier posts, but corn costs way too much to process and uses way to many fossil fuels to accomplish that.
But I digress.
Go pack.
hehehe
XOXO
me
Thank you Gordon!
ReplyDeleteShe IS in great spirits- even when her body betrays her.
I will send rain to Colorado, if you will send heat our way.
Here's my forecast for tonight:
"Good evening Anne,
Mostly clear skies and light winds will allow for some cold temperatures overnight.
A killing freeze is possible in the north, and even low laying southern areas away from the Lake could have a touch of frost.
PROTECT YOUR PLANTS TONIGHT.
Sunday looks cool and beautifully sunny.
Monday will be dry here, and in Chicago for the Packers Game. Kickoff at Soldier Field: Partly Cloudy, 60 degrees, North Wind: 6-12 mph.
So please send a wee bit of warmth?
XOXO
me
SweeTee;
ReplyDeleteNo rain here today! (It must have gone North/South but it didn't come East)!
To this day I have NO idea where the flowers came from.
They are a beautiful deep purple, and came up the Fall after Baby Mariah got her wings. (Purple was her favorite color)! Cool eh?
As long as the weather cooperates, we shall have a nice trip.
And as long as the test takers cooperate, Casey will have a nice trip too!
hehehe
XOXO
me
"Good Morning" Yourself!
ReplyDeleteFunny that I can say that now- but it is getting on 1AM, so technically it IS morning!
hehehe
I shall have to remember to get you/us some (more) oyster crackers before we leave.
You like them.
Punk likes them.
I LOVE them in my soups!
(The cracker industry will never be the same)!
If I kick you in the shin with a steel toe shoe, do you think your migraine will feel a bit better?
I am always looking for different ways to try to help. ya know. hehehe
The 6 acres on the far east is cleared, and about the next 7 west of that. The fields behind the old shed are still growing.
Will have to get another tomorrow from a higher point on the hill by the woods. The rest, if it freezes, they can have for sauerkraut.
OH! Punk loves you SO much doesn't she?! So cool to see her reactions every time she sees you!
Most people are like that also. Pretty cool that.
I love you too.
ForeverMORElonger!
XOXO
Me
PS
You should have started with the Air Show Tragedy, and worked your way from there. hehehe
Sweet Snotball;
ReplyDeleteThose flowers just EXPLODED! So very pretty too!
(See my reply to Tee from where they didn't come from)...
Can you believe that Casey fit that whole cracker in her itty bitty little 'mouf' ? (I can).
hehehe
Punks 'toy' in the car is a flippity thing that holds a little bottle in it. She loves the crinkle effect from the plastic bottle. I have to get another wee bottle too because this one got holes in it and leaks now. (Kinda like Casey and her iron).
XOXO
Me
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea;
Casey is constantly trying to lick the floor.
I am so happy she discovered crackers. hehehe
The deer have found all the leftover corn that was left behind by the crews. But corn fed venison sounds good too.
Would you like me to send the original pic of Casey or are you happy enough with the little one here? Let me know.
XOXO
Me
Sweet PeachieBaby!
ReplyDeleteI love both of them too- But they don't love me!
Other veggies I can eat forever- Just not those 2. (Well, ever since my gallbladder fell out anyway).
Punk IS a child.
...According to my vets office; their cart and her age/weight, she is my 49 year old child.
Oops on that. hehehe Don't ask...
No light switches for the silly dawg- (and a darn fine thing too)-
See she drools a bit, especially when she smells those crackers- And if she could turn on light switches she would probably electrocute herself.
XOXO
Me
ReplyDeleteSweet Carolie!
You cracked me up! hehehe
XOXO
Me
Sweet Suzy-
ReplyDeleteThere is still plenty of corn available at the farmers markets and at the roadside stands. Just not in my field. (Wish I could say the same for fresh cukes).
Casey is looking quite well in these pics, isn't she! YAY!
Hope your rummage-o-rama went well! You must be beat!
XOXO
me
I was trying to cover cute and painfull... did it work????
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteIt worked just fine!
Put your way, it just about covered everything!
(And I was thinking only about the wee little corncob)...
XOXO
Me

ReplyDeleteYeah, hard to keep that one out of the garden....
ReplyDeletecorn fed venison sounds REALLY yummy....
If you think about it next time you are in your e-mail, yes the bigger version would be lovely...
XOXOOXOX

ReplyDeleteAsk Casey what she thinks of having to receive more infusions...
ReplyDeleteStop pouting Casey hahaha
ReplyDeleteThanks Sweetie-
As always Casey does hang in there!
I am so proud!
(And with these hard freezes now, I am missing those ears of corn)...
XOXO
me
You want Casey to be cussing you out now? I can guarantee that she will do more than pout...
ReplyDelete(That's a bit masochistic of you Mr. Lester).
XOXO
Me

ReplyDeleteMr Lester;
ReplyDeleteYou did not insult either myself or Casey-
Damn! I hate when I forget the "hehehe" !!! I was NOT upset. Not one bit.
(Casey has called me on forgetting that, more than a few times in the case of my blogs).
MY apologies my dear man! Now I feel just awful...
XOXO
