Ø Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. Ø
(True. True. And true).
Our skies are quite stormy, and I must rest my eyes and head for a bit. 'Til later then. XOXO, Me
Many of those who attend Church are there only to be "seen" as a Christian. And yet....they will also be out bar-hopping and committing adultery among other sins before Sunday morning rolls around. It's best to keep the sins silent and have God in your heart than to come across as a hypocrite to others who "also" sees and knows about those sins. God knows everything we do. God knows everything we feel and what we believe. And God is the only one that should matter too. Church is a good thing for those who need the guidance and group worship for learning. But as I said.....God knows what is within our hearts and soul better than even we do. Learning about Biblical things from home or communing with nature to be in touch with God, I believe is just as acceptable to God as going to Church would be.
When one of the churchy folk around here want to know where I go to church, I tell them the most beautiful one ever created. Out my front door, up my hill and under the trees that God himself created.
Night, Night Anna I PM'ed Karen :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is a good point.
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth.....and I know so many it can apply to!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that one. :)
ReplyDeleteso very true.

ReplyDeleteNo matter how long you stay in the Garage you will never be able to hoot
Go to a Church just one day a week and you can hoot forever.
So your saying that if Sarah Palin can see the moon from her porch in Alaska she really isn't an astronaut ? ?
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO
ReplyDeleteBill she is simply saying that the ACT of going to church does not make you a Christian, it is the ACTION that does.
ReplyDeleteCorrect...its ACTIONS not the ACT! You can also sit in church every time the doors open and still not be a Christian.

I am another one. firmly believe in god and believe that this entire universe is god's ultimate church....so why go to one made by man?
