Does anyone have any personal experience about ALS? All I can find is what I read online- I don't seem to know anyone; even a friend of a friend of a great aunt who lived in Okinawa, who knows someone, etc etc etc... Just curious. Thank you ahead, for any input I might receive. XOXO, Me
Sorry Anna I do not mate
ReplyDeleteWe had a close friend of the family die of ALS and then another friends husband who died of it quite some time ago. It's actually fairly rare but there seems to be a cluster in CT
ReplyDeleteSorry Annie,
ReplyDeleteI don't know of anyone personally....

Lots of love and prayers XOXOXOXO

How ever to be honest this is the very first time I have heard of it, so many sicknesses in the world, It saddens me at times.
I've known people with the condition, but not my own issue, thank God. A lot of military are returning with ALS. Frees me out, one of my sons is Military so when he returned injured, with neurological issues I did some research. Also cared for end stage ALS patients over the years. It is totally debilitating. Hoping your not having to deal with this diagnosis yourself, but if you are Im sure your positive attitude will get you through.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing to offer up ....lol......sorry

Lou Gehrigs disease sad
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine died of it last year. It is fast moving and a very hard disease to have to live with. The person loses all mobility and even their speech.
ReplyDeleteI think you know I was diagnosed with MS years ago....I do know that ALS is a much more severe form of MS...my praters with your friend...hugs and my thoughts and prayers are with you Anne...

ReplyDeleteYou don't mate???
That's not what I heard...
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that your friend died.
It is rare, and that is why this is the first time it has ever touched my life in any way, shape, or form.
ReplyDeleteI am ok.
Thank you for asking.
Day by day seems to work best for anyone.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly the disease I was speaking of.
Thanks Mr. Lester.
You were here.
ReplyDeleteYou commented.
And you are my friend.
Never apologize. (Unless you say something raunchy about me that isn't true).
hehehe
ReplyDeleteIt is honestly one of the saddest things to have happen to anyone you care about.
ReplyDeleteMobility and speech- lack thereof- can always be dealt with.
The worst things to worry over are the potential for choking and also not being able to breathe.
Scary, scary stuff.
I am sorry about your friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you much!
You are always in my thoughts and prayers too you know.
I see that my new friend Mary has deleted her comment.
ReplyDeleteBut I will respond anyway.
This is not me.
It is happening to my friend Polly's husband.

I hope your friend's husband does not have to suffer long. Such a sad disease. Hold them close while they go through this.
