Double Paranormal Blog- (Grab a Cuppa)

Yes, it is long. But oh how I would love "Multiply" comments too!
It is also a repost from Y! 360.

Please bear with me,
as I try to UNscrew my own screw~ups on here today.

My little Valerie- surrounded by her spirits, and angels...

Good Morning Everyone...

I think I am about to open a whole new can of worms with this entry- Have just finished writing to Cousin Buttercup- She had asked me a bit about spirits etc etc etc...
Will try to copy/paste her note onto this page for you- And my own response to it too...

I shall first copy what I think may have made her ask the question of me in the 1st place...

Here goes nuthin'...

I remember the 1st time to have come all this way from home; with the girls all so little... Not really knowing anyone, (rather just knowing OF them)- but finding ourselves so very welcomed too. Being granted the opportunity to stay in my grandmother's home was an extra special invitation for me- (I missed meeting her by such a short while)- When I come to Sault Ste. Marie I stay here to this day-

It is a wonderful old home, with many joys- almost palpable, tangible, in their entirety...
The "feel" of the house- Like I have been here many times-
Perhaps that is the spirit within us all.
Perhaps the deja~vu is REAL- and I HAVE been here before; (cell memories being what they are)... I do not know.
But here I find a peace within my soul that I do not find anyplace else
.
Now her notes... and mine

Saturday July 15, 2006 - 12:13am (EDT)

Anne-

I hear that you were trying to spook my Uncle Scott by calling from gram's house and going to tell him that his mother said to call....that would have been funny.

Do you ever feel like there is anyone else in the house with you while your there? I don't know if I could stay there alone or not.....though I love being there....it is such a great feeling because nothing has really changed in that house since gram died. Not like the house on the Island-big-big changes there....for the better except maybe no more garden.

Now my reply...

Tuesday July 18, 2006 - 05:08am (CDT)

My Dear Miss Buttercup;
As far as 'anyone else' goes, it is a topic I would love to share with you; (but would definitely need more than the 4000 characters they give to a person to comment on)...

I am not afraid of spirits, "visits" etc...

Having lived through the deaths of both of my parents, and now living in the very same house where I grew up; the same house where my mother and paternal grandmother BOTH passed in, I have witnessed more than my share of the "unexplainable".

I have watched my animals and my grandbabies "see" things that do not correspond with what I can see with my own mortal eyes. But this is (and was) never a frightening thing for me either...

My own mother was more upset about these little things- The noises that had no visuals to go with them- or an apparition that may/may not have been shared with another in the house- And she was very scared at times in her life; but only until Dad died. It was after his death that she began to welcome such little things; even the dreams she would have from time to time transcended his own passing.
(Personally, I am much more afraid of the 'living')...

I think you want to know if I feel if Grandma's house is haunted.

If it is, it does not scare me...
It would truly be sad, (and surprising), if there weren't any "visits from the afterlife" in a home that has been always filled with such a rich history of love and of family.

I have never been 'afraid' to be in Grandma's home alone.
There are so many wonderful things to look at and to try to picture the care with which she bought them- or the fun she had in finding them in the first place!

I believe she was a happy and joyous person; and I also believe that even death cannot change that which is in our souls to begin with.

Like I have inferred above, I could go on and on and on and on.

As you hear the obviously true stories of experiences that people have had in grandmas house, just ask the person telling the story- or know this in your heart for yourself, "Has anyone ever truly been 'harmed' in any way in that home?"

The answer is 'no'- (And yes, I have heard more than a few stories myself).

There are people that do not believe in spirits, and will tell you that their own faith allows them not to believe-
(Why then is there the blessed trinity"?)? A bunch of narrow minded bunk from people who will not believe?

I may have bordered on the naysayers point of view for a time in my own life-
But that lasted ONLY until I was touched by these spritis in/of/through my own experience(s).
I promise you this:
Those same people who do not believe are guaranteed to do that very thing as soon as they experience their own.

You 'believe', Buttercup- or you wouldn't have asked. That belief tells me of your own open heart and soul. And isn't it peaceful and comforting to know that those we miss so very much can still be with us at points in our lives?

A last thought too- Those who feel as though they cannot remain in a home that may/may not be 'haunted'... What makes you think that those spirits are "grounded" in any way shape or form? Spirits can travel; most people are just more comfy in their own homes is all- Guess I believe we should just comfortable enough in their own skins.

Do not ever be afraid, Tiffany- And if at any point in time you are afraid to even go to sleep, just pray to God and the Holy Spirit that you will sleep peacefully.

Dreams, death, and sleep, for us mortals are 3 things that we just cannot fully understand is all; and ultimately they are the three things that keep our own souls alive forever.

Peace.
Anne

Have I begun to make any of you 'think' about "things" you may have experienced of your own accord?
Think back to when you were a child...
  • *Did you have an invisible playmate?
AND FOR 'NOW'
  • *Do you remember dreams that made you feel good about?
  • *Do you believe that you have been here before?
  • *Do you encounter spirits, or feel them close-by?
  • *Do you truly believe in God? (Whatever you conceive Him to be)?
    • Jesus?
      • The Holy Spirit?
  • *Do you truly believe in your own spirit?
  • *Do you believe that death only separates us for a little while?
  • *Do you believe in the afterlife?
  • *Do you believe in reincarnation?
  • *Cell memories?
  • *HAVE YOU BEEN HERE BEFORE?
  • *Do you believe that only fear of fear itself keeps us from witnessing our own lives on a truly spiritual level?
  • *Do you believe in your Guardian Angel(s)?

If so, or if not, please feel free to share your own experiences with us all in the comments at the bottom.
You can even email me pictures at Anna_Loves_Life@Yahoo.com if you would like.
I am forever interested and curious as to what other people have experienced in their own lives, hearts, homes and souls.

Have a wonderful day!
XOXO
Anne

Oh, and as an added PS, for those of you who can just think noises etc can be explained by your house settling...
FACT:
New homes settle more often than old ones;
so please do NOT think it takes 50, 100, or even 200+ years for a home to "settle" ... Unless you have a terribly bad foundation- (and if this is the case, please move out for your own safety).
hehehe

    Faces; ~to Heartbeats; ~to Infinity...

    Good Morning to ALL...

    Are you still with me on this? (Hanging in there OK with my own little perspective on things)?

    Life After Death; After Life; After Death... (Part Two)...

    Again, no disclaimers here. These are only my thoughts...

    But I am curious...

    ...Could anyone 'see' the large open~mouthed face next to Johnnys in yesterdays picture?

    It took me a while too, not seeing it... and then, there it IS... I was pretty freaked out after one of the kids had brought it to me!

    ...And so here is another for you to take a gander at...

    .

    Do you see anyone looking in the window by Uncle Chum?

    .
    .
    (there is only green "lawn" out of that window)...
    .
    .
    .
    .
    How about a "face" in the piano behind Roberta?
    .
    .
    (there were NO lights on in the dining room at that point in the day).
    .
    .
    .
    .
    An angel on the siding?
    .
    .
    .
    Again, hard to see, but definitely there...
    .
    .
    .
    Was this possibly my "Amos" under the willow tree to scare Miss Punkin?

    (Look exactly where Punk is looking)...
    .
    .
    .
    ..
    .
    Do you see him now?
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    And what is Punkie looking at in this picture?
    .
    .
    Certainly nothing that either Casey nor I saw...
    Animals and Young Children see things that we do not!
    .

    .

    .What did you see?

    And how many pictures are there with so many orbs in them?
    Or even just one orb?

    Many people believe these orbs to be 'visits' from angels or even from spirits of loved ones.

    Others believe them to be their own powerful auras.

    Still others believe them to be manifestations of dirt on a lens... (not unless all consecutive pictures also show that same dirt).

    Or, dust in the air... But if there is all that dust then it would show up (once more) within all the other photos as well, taken at the same time. (I don't know about YOU, but if my house is dusty, it is dusty; that dust does not settle inbetween pictures).

    Moisture? Even on a dry summer day/evening/morning? Humidity being what it is, my guess would be it would show up 'foggy' and not orb~ish.

    Eliminate those particles then...
    That would leave spirits, souls, or angels...

    And the faces that we see?
    Not there when you press the shutter, but appear in the picture?

    I do not know how to explain that.

    Early pictures that would 'catch' such things were always thrown out.

    But if God has sent this to you, why throw it away before you know how to define or to describe it?

    But of the cat under the tree, I can only say that making this picture as large as I could after I had taken it, even distinguishes his b/w markings appropriately. Go figure...

    .
    .
    .
    A double~Heart orb over Ritas head in this picture?
    .
    .
    with the 2 others above us all?

    But can any one of you explain any of these pictures to me?
    Please?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And now...
    infinity    noun ...The state or quality of being infinite:
    boundlessness
    , immeasurability, immeasurableness, inexhaustibility, inexhaustibleness, infiniteness, limitlessness, measurelessness, unboundedness, unlimitedness. See limited
    The totality of time without beginning or end: eternality, eternalness, eternity, perpetuity, sempiternity.
    Many of you do not believe in reincarnation. Until I even only tried to understand the concept, I stumbled over many little roadblocks and questions of my own.
    And then, I began to to question a few MORE things...
    LIKE...
    • How big is BIG?
    • What does "God Always was, and always will be" actually mean?
    • What is space as it may/may not relate to Heaven?
    • What is Earth compared to an INfinite space?
    • Do you believe that God created all things? (In whatever image you have of Him).
    And what then is your own definition of time/space?
    "INFINITY?"
    Our humble little minds (that we use less than 10% of), cannot possibly begin to grasp even a mere, or basic sense, of "INFINITY" ...and beyond.
    My own question and ultimate light began with the following question:
    If God is infinite why would He then cast souls to earth for only approximately 70 years?
    I think we do not believe in reincarnation, only because we think of 'being' in terms of a mere 70 years.
    Now think of that same 70 years; and only try to compare it to INFINITY.
    Surely it is not even a drop in Gods Bucket of life!
    I believe that my God can/will/has given us life itself to learn, (and to relearn), here, (or even other places as well).
    ...If He is as capable, (as we all know him to be), then there is not only Earth in his control and His thoughts.
    Do I believe that we reincarnate immediately? Absolutely not. The more you learn~ (or even the more you screw~up), the more you are to share with the others above...
    ...And the need to define "above".
    ...As only God can do, (and what I believe He HAS done)... We are here, and so are they. But they are in spirit form, (while we are stuck in these aging and mostly unforgiving bodies of ours).
    I believe because some people are more "open" to these states of mind while others are more "closed~minded" or 'hushed' about that aspect, and in that respect.
    "Hushed" comes from other mortals, not God.
    God does not limit us; (we do THAT to ourselves).
    I believe we return with little imprints from our past mistakes and successes. This is cell memory. Somehow transferred to our present bodys while our spirit is coming to us with our life intact.
    Everybody, every single ONE of us, HAS a spirit, our soul, (or whatever you wish to call it). Some souls are darker than others, some are lighter. (And we ALL know people with dark/light energies, like this)!
    And we 'recognize' these spirits, souls from places we do not necessarily remember.
    Deja vu?
    Have you ever met someone, only to know immediately there is a close bond between yourselves?
    While on the other hand, have you taken an immediate dislike to another?
    There is a reason that our souls KNOW these things.
    You have just recognized someone from your past! The same as when you dream, and you travel and you "recognize" places that you would have no reason to!
    But even with that, the bottom line is that we are ALL here to teach others, something.
    We do not have to be parents or teachers to do this. It is simply what we are here for.
    Living. Learning. And Sharing.
    That no matter what kind of life path we have, no matter where that has taken us, somebody else WILL learn from it. (No matter how unimportant, or innocuous, we might believe our offerings to others to be).
    "Legacy?" You bet!
    Our own concepts of "right" or "wrong" most certainly does not play a role in this either. It is only HOW we interpret information given to us, or taught to us.
    We learn from our own mistakes, as well as from the mistakes of others. We have learned as much from psychotics as we have learned from high school; (AND we have put that to better use)... We no longer burn anyone at the stake because we don't understand powers that may be, or the energy of it all... or because we simply cannot comprehend "infinity" as being "Everything"~
    No longer 'hiding' our beloved family members away in a sanitarium or an asylum.
    We not only try to teach them, but we learn from them as well.
    That is the cycle of life.
    ...And I do not believe that our learning stops with our heartbeats. I believe that since God has created us in His image, that we just keep getting better and better with each life cycle.
    70 years?
    Not a chance... if you can take into consideration that He always WAS, IS, and ALWAYS will be. The simple "INFINITY" of it all.
    As I stated yesterday then...
    "
    Certainly this entire topic cannot possibly contained in one minor blog posting. I will be posting more on this... (Especially AFTER I get to read all of your comments and such)."
    There exists a myraid of questions still... Perhaps more later...
    Again though from yesterday, I write this not to detract from any religious beliefs, but only to ADD to them.
    Have a grand Halloween!
    XOXO
    Anne
    Soy. "The Fattening, Dumbing Down, and Poisoning of America"
    http://www.naturalnews.com/027358_soy_food_GMO.html
    "Beware of the Dangers of Soy"
    YAY!
    This article [finally] reflects what I have said about soy...
    Please read ALL of your labels etc...
    cartoon from here:
    http://nutritionnibbles.blogspot.com/2008/08/soy-sperm-and-other-stuff.html
    _________________________
    Beware of the Dangers of Soy!
    Soy. It is found in seemingly every prepared and processed food item available on the market. Whether it is soy protein, soybean oil, or soy lecithin, soy derivatives have become an almost universal additive in American food products.
    Commonly thought to be a healthy, protein-dense food, the soybean has been touted as a wonder victual capable of feeding the planet and stopping world hunger.
    Truth is, unfermented soy is one of the most harmful, toxic substances to ever become so predominant in the food chain.
    The History of Soy
    Historically, ancient farmers planted soybeans in order to infuse their soil with nutrients such as nitrogen; their food crops benefited from the enriched soil that the soy plants provided. Typically attributed with Asian diets, soy has always played a minor role in eastern fare and, when consumed, it is done so fermented from a whole bean.
    The traditional Japanese diet, for instance, includes over 100 biologically-unique foods per week with soy products accounting for only a few items. In Pearl Buck's 1931 bestselling Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Good Earth, she writes of Wang Lung, a Chinese subsistence farmer who rises to power in pre-revolutionary China because of he and his wife's hard work and determination . Raised in China herself, Buck's story contains scant mention of soy consumption as part of the typical Chinese diet.
    Ancient pictographs from the Chinese Chou Dynasty period also confirm that soy was traditionally not used as food but as a crop-rotating plant that served to replenish the planting soil with nutrients. Throughout the centuries, it gradually gained popularity in various fermented forms.
    Only in recent decades has corporate soy production become commonplace, ushered in by gales of misinformation claiming it as a health food in all its processed forms. Even in Asian countries, 90% of soy consumption involves processed, unfermented soy products much like the ones consumed in America.
    What's So Bad About Soy?
    Soybeans naturally contain a host of anti-nutrients and toxins, including trypsin inhibitors, hemaglutinin, phytic acid, and phytoestrogens.
    The potent trypsin inhibitors present in soy significantly curtail protein absorption, causing abdominal distress due to hampered absorption of crucial nutrients and amino acids. Animals fed diets that contained large amounts of trypsin inhibitors developed pancreatic problems including cancer.
    Hemaglutinin is a substance that is responsible for causing red blood cells to clump together and form clots. Both trypsin inhibitors and hemaglutinin have been deemed "growth depressant substances" for their contributions in stunting essential bodily functions.
    Phytic acid, or phytates, is another nutrient absorption inhibitor that deters the uptake of essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Present in the bran of seeds, phytic acid will offset the intake of nutrients by stopping their absorption within the intestinal track, leading to severe mineral deficiencies. Zinc, the "intelligence mineral", is the one most completely blocked by soy phytates. Soy has also been shown to have the highest phytic acid content of any other grain or legume ever studied.
    Phytoestrogens are chemical compounds found in some plants that mimic the estrogen hormone. Soy products are particularly rich in isoflavone phytoestrogens which are capable of significantly disrupting human hormonal balance, particularly in men. A study conducted by Harvard University revealed a definitive correlation between soy consumption and low sperm counts in men, indicating that high soy consumption can instigate reproductive harm and suppress testosterone levels.
    Genetic Engineering
    To add insult to injury, the GMO Compass database records that as of 2008, 92% of soy crops in the U.S. are genetically modified varieties. GMOs are continually shown in independent studies to cause serious harm in the human body, a frightening prospect when considering that soy derivatives are found in virtually every processed food product.
    One of the most prevalent culprits is soy lecithin, an emulsifier that is added to processed foods to stabilize the ingredients with one another. Soybean oil is another popular additive found in all kinds of foods from mayonnaise and salad dressings to cakes and breads. Besides the fact that they are soy-based and highly prevalent, these ingredients are most often derived from GMO soybeans.
    Even organic products may contain GMO soy lecithin since this particular ingredient falls outside the realm of organic requirements, a controversial loophole that many have taken charge to have changed. Most organic products specify non-GMO soy lecithin but it is always important to investigate and verify.
    Eat Soy Sparingly, and Only Organic
    The proper way to eat soy is whole, organic, fermented, and sparingly. Soy milk, tofu, soy nuts, and other popular food items are essentially toxic due to the inherent toxic properties of unfermented soy. Many of these products are also highly processed and genetically-modified.
    Soy formulas are inadequate and potentially dangerous for babies as they do not contain the vibrant array of vital nutrients found in the mother's breast milk. Many doctors affirm that soy formulas lack essential fatty acids (EFAs), cholesterol, immunoglobulins, and other nutrients necessary for proper cognitive and neural development in the child. As it turns out, many babies are allergic to the highly-processed proteins and ingredients in infant formula.
    For adults, soy products like miso, tamari, and shoyu that have been properly fermented are not only delicious but healthy when used in various food preparations. Fermentation eliminates virtually all of the anti-nutrients and toxins present in raw soybeans. Tempeh is another whole fermented soy food that is high in protein and dietary fiber, making it a pertinent vegetarian meal option.
    Small amounts of fermented, organic soy foods in conjunction with a diverse, whole foods diet will serve the body well. Rather than consume inordinate amounts of chemically-processed soy as is becoming typical in the American diet, particularly among vegetarians, soy should be shrouded among an array of complete food items - preferably as a condiment and always fermented.
    "There is also the possibility that soy can actually cause more harm: Although the estrogen-blocking activity of phytoestrogens may possibly be beneficial to younger women, in later years when estrogen levels are lower, these same phytoestrogens may actually mimic real estrogen and cause breast cancer cells to grow. The most abundant isoflavone in soy is called genistein and it has been found to possibly stimulate growth of estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer cells. This isoflavone can also interfere with the cancer-killing drug tamoxifen."
    WELCOME!
    Good "Something" hehehe
    It is the middle of the night- ("Good Morning" doesn't quite fit the bill yet)...
    Just wanted to welcome new little Baby Wyatt to our world.
    Here is the note sent:
    Wednesday, October 28, 2009 7:25 PM
    Hi Mommy!
    Jenne' was induced at 6:30am.
    She said the epidural worked even better than Isaiah's birth and she slept through some pretty big contractions. She only had to push 5 times to get him out, and she's doing well.
    Here are the specifics:
    Name: Wyatt Taylor Mullen
    Weight: 8lbs. 3oz.
    Length: 20 inches
    Time of Birth: 5:30pm
    She sent the pic to your phone as well, but I already picked up the picture with the mms viewer through Cellcom, so you don't have to.
    She's getting her tubes tied tomorrow as she is done having children... Seems so young to do that, but that's just my opinion... She said she'll be in the hospital until Friday.
    I hope you slept well!
    I'm doing better.
    I was able to eat the sandwich and a few french fries and my head is a lot better. It's not completely gone, but it's way in the background so I'm happy with that. I'm also happy I kept the food down! :D
    I let Punkie out at about 8pm so she should be good for a while. I'm watching a few movies that I downloaded (for free this time)!
    I've solemnly vowed NOT to even go to the menu on the friggen TV!!! :D
    Love you MUCH MUCH!
    ~CaseyAnne
    So that's all the news that's fit to print! hehehe
    Have a good day- We will be back to the hospital by 6:45AM.
    Love to all.
    XOXO
    Good Morning!
    We are in Minnesota- Away from the maddening crowds of Flintville!
    I imagine that Sue and Glenn will fill that pickup truck more than once yet! Hopefully will be stopping by even in my absence, and take a bunch of leftover squash for their deer too.
    (Gritter, they are in the fields behind the old garage).
    Now y'all know that I have a bit of a mowiss problem come Fall and its falling temps.
    So I had to get the rodent killer out.
    Mowiss Hunter
    Ok, most people call it a mousetrap...
    I set it up in the attached garage-
    I'd hoped that the teeny tiny bit of cheese would prove lethal for a few of those varmints.
    Little did I know that the trap would set itself off almost immediately!
    Since my back sucks, I grabbed a can from the recycle bin instead of carrying out each one to the dumpster. I used that to hold my little dead guys.
    If you're eating, & have ignored my previous warning, do not look at the pic below.
    Before we left I unplug everything. I have a little fan atop the piano that I run constantly to circulate the air in my living room.
    Given the fact that it is 29' long, the air does not always get moved in the NE corner. So I use that fan...
    As I reached down to unplug it, I spied one of Sputnik's little catnip toys on the side of the piano.
    I was going to grab it for him until the dang thing suddenly grew legs and disappeared behind the piano.
    I jumped about 5 feet, and still had to unplug that fan. (Damn. I've got another one in the house)! And triple damn!
    So I brought the trap inside to set by the piano.
    Yesterday morning, the sun came right back up!
    Self explanatory where we were.
    After a long appointment, Dr. Sutherland has ordered more than a few tests, beginning with the bloodwork from yesterday.
    Her liver tests are consistently high- And remembering that there is a cyst on her liver (which has been there ever since her very first CAT Scan), he has ordered now 3 more tests as an outpatient.  (Lord, she does NOT want to be hospitalized, ever again).
    At ten this morning we are to be back for her HIDA Scan.
    This stands for
    hepatobiliary iminodiacetic acid scan, (so I will use HIDA from now on)...
    Hopefully this will be done by the time she has her EGD at noon.
    The EGD is called an Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
    , (I will use EGD from now on). An examination of the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and upper duodenum with a small camera (flexible endoscope) which is inserted down the throat... (Click for more)...
    Tomorrow will bring its own round of tests, one being another CT, and an ultrasound.
    After she had been poked for blood, (much), she was hungry. We stopped at Arbys- She got some kind of taco.
    Instead she was turned into a towel headed dog...
    Casey is still asleep.
    Since she cannot eat or drink anything this morning, or tomorrow for that matter, she gets to sleep as long as possible... I would want to too.
    She did wake to take Punk out early this morning. My back was being very uncooperative to say the least, (and here, it is not a matter of sending the dog out the back door to take care of herself).
    It is gloomy outside- Cloudy, and the last time I looked there was frost on every car. (I did find my ice and snow scraper and made sure it was in the car for our trip). It will clear itself by the time we have to leave though.
    Hopefully Kelli is not having too much fun with the mouse s(h)ituation at home. Am thinking Randy might have been there too. I'd explained to him that Kelli doesn't mind live mice, but is bothered much by the dead ones. (Perhaps she was Minnie Mouse in a prior life)...
    I'd better close for now. Time to get out of my baggy sweats, and look alive for the day.
    Love to all.
    XOXO
    Good Morning!
    I will be posting a blog shortly, (I hope); but I found this as I was searching for a definition of "freezing fog" for The Slurk.
    (I also thought it was very interesting)!
    PRECIPITATION TYPES
    by METEOROLOGIST JEFF HABY
    This webpage describes the different types of precipitation and explains how they form. METAR and other frequently used abbreviations for each precipitation type are given.
    1. Rain (R, RA)- Rain is liquid precipitation that reaches the surface in the form of drops that are greater than 0.5 millimeters in diameter. The intensity of rain is determined by the accumulation over a given time. Categories of rain are light, moderate and heavy.
    2. Snow (SN, SNW, S)- Snow is an aggregate of ice crystals that form into flakes. Snow forms at temperatures below freezing. For snow to reach the earth's surface the entire temperature profile in the troposphere needs to be at or below freezing. It can be slightly above freezing in some layers if the layer is not warm or deep enough the melt the snow flakes much. The intensity of snow is determined by the accumulation over a given time. Categories of snow are light, moderate and heavy.
    3. Snow Pellets (GS)- A snow pellet is precipitation that grows by supercooled water accreting on ice crystals or snow flakes. Snow pellets can also occur when a snowflake melts about half way then refreezes as it falls. Snow pellets have characteristics of hail, sleet and snow. With sleet (ice pellets), the snowflake almost completely melts before refreezing thus sleet has a hard ice appearance. Soft hail grows in the same way snow pellets can grow and that is ice crystals and supercooled water accreting on the surface. Snow pellets will crush and break apart when pressed. They can bounce off objects like sleet does. Snow pellets have a whiter appearance than sleet. Snow pellets have small air pockets embedded within their structure and have visual remnants of ice crystals unlike sleet. Snow pellets are typically a couple to several millimeters in size.
    4. Snow Grains (SG)- Snow grains are small grains of ice. They do not produce much accumulation and are the solid equivalent to drizzle.
    5. Ice Crystals (IC)- Also called diamond dust. They are small ice crystals that float with the wind.
    6. Sleet / Ice Pellets (PE, PL, IP, SLT)- Sleet (Ice Pellets) are frozen raindrops that strike the earth's surface. In a sleet situation the precipitation aloft when it is first generated will be snow. The snow falls through a layer that is a little above freezing and the snow partially melts. If the snow completely melts it will be more likely to reach the earth's surface as supercooled water instead of sleet. If the snow partially melts there will still be ice within the falling drop for water to freeze on when the drop falls into a subfreezing layer. The lowest layer of the troposphere will be below freezing in a sleet situation and deep enough to freeze drops completely. The lower boundary layer can be above freezing and sleet occur if the sleet does not have time to melt before reaching the surface.
    7. Hail (GR, A)- Hail is dense precipitation ice that is that least 5 millimeters in diameter. It forms due to ice crystals and supercooled water that freeze or stick to the embryo hail stone. Soft hail is more white and less dense since it has air bubbles. Soft hail occurs when hail grows at a temperature below freezing by ice crystals and small supercooled water and cloud droplets merging onto the hail. Hard hail occurs when liquid water drops freeze on the outer edges of the hailstone after the outer edge is above freezing. The freezing of supercooled water releases latent heat and this can result in the outer edge of the hail stone warming above freezing. Then the water refreezes creating solid ice. Hail will commonly have soft ice and hard ice layers when it is sliced open.
    8. Graupel (GS)- Graupel forms in the same way as hail except the diameter is less than 5 millimeters. It usually grows by soft hail processes.
    9. Drizzle (DZ, L)- Drizzle is liquid precipitation that reaches the surface in the form of drops that are less than 0.5 millimeters in diameter.
    10. Freezing Drizzle (FZDZ, ZL)- Freezing Drizzle is liquid precipitation that reaches the surface in the form of drops that are less than 0.5 millimeters in diameter. The drops then freeze on the earth's surface.
    11. Freezing Rain (FZRA, ZR)- Freezing Rain is liquid precipitation that reaches the surface in the form of drops that are greater than 0.5 millimeters in diameter. The drops then freeze on the earth's surface.
    12. Freezing Fog (FZFG)- Freezing fog is a fog composed of supercooled water drops. These drops freeze just after they wet the earth's surface.
    13. Mixed Precipitation (MXD PCPN)- The combination of two or more winter precipitation types occurring at the same time or over a period of time at the same place.
    So what's YOUR weather like today?
    Jenny Mella, Nyk and Casey
    .
    .
    Good Morning All;
    First of all to thank everyone who is praying for Casey and keeping her in their thoughts. I truly do appreciate the outpouring of love and concern!
    Will keep this private entry short(er), but just wanted you to know that we are leaving today for Minnesota. I never want to post that info out there or for everyone.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    On the FYI end of it all... (Just a little heads up).
    OK OK, it's a rant.
    Know that since their trip to Texas in June, Jenny Mella and Casey no longer speak.
    I know it bothers Casey something awful- Not that she hasn't tried to keep open the lines of communication, (all her efforts in vain).
    Heck, it bothers ME too.
    Nykquee apparently has perpetuated much maligning with that one.
    (Yes, Jenny has a brain, and a heart, of her own).
    She made me sad.
    I can promise that it is, and will ever be, one of Jenny's greater losses, something she will grow to regret.
    There was crap said about the drugs that Casey was on. Which is a blog in/of itself.
    Yet taking vicoden when she was on that trip was nothing compared to what she was on for the past, almost 5 years now.
    Nyk, as an 'emt' in training, (is that to make her extra "special"?), apparently freaked out and said how bad Casey was for taking vicoden etc etc etc.
    (Funny I don't recall Nyk even visiting Casey in the hospital, save for once, early on in her illness).
    She knows NOTHING of Chronic Pancreatitis, and how it has destroyed Casey's life! She knows nothing of the pain that Casey is still in.
    (C'mon, would the Pain Management Doctors even prescribe this for Casey if the need wasn't there)??? I think not.
    I also think "Ignorance is bliss"
    Neither of these very fortunate young ladies have ever known anything close to Caseys pain, or what she has endured for the past 5+ years. How dare they do this to her!
    ***
    At one point on that fateful trip, allegedly Nyk had also said that Casey could not possibly have had an anxiety attack because she was not shaking etc.  Please see http://flintville.multiply.com/links/item/175 to refresh your memory, or CLICK HERE.
    Again... Jenny has a brain, and a heart, of her very own.
    Sorry to be so b|tchy here.  When things get so bad for Casey, I know I always want to 'blame' or rant or whine; and of course I do know how futile that is.
    BUT, I also know that state of mind has much to do with recovery etc. This BS going on between how she feels still about Jenny does not help matters one bit. They grew up as sisters with their deep friendship. She has hurt Casey deeply.
    Would you all take a moment to go to Casey's guestbook and send a little love? She will really appreciate it when she gets back to Multiply.
    Love to all.
    XOXO
    Anne
    Must go pack, and finish laundry. She has called and will be here shortly.
    Greg is bringing Casey to the hospital as I type. (I am losing what little grasp I still have on my sanity).
    Living under a rock... What's going on with daylight savings time? Why does my computer think it began already? What time will it be next week at this time??? Hmmm, and hehehe ~I am SO "cornf00sed" now. HELP!?! XOXO, Me
    Good Morning All;
    My back is something awful today, and I have been up since before one- I am in pain. I am bitchy. And I am hungry (& obviously too lazy to go cook something too).
    I have just tried lying down.
    I found out real fast that that is not an option at the moment.
    So I will post these part~draft, (and part~current) notes that I have...
    I do take lots of pictures, and post them within my stories. My grandbabies might want a few of them when they get older. I have a boring quiet life by many others' standards.
    My life.
    I write about Casey's sickness/surgeries etc, (and whatever my other 3 girls should decide to share with me).
    I have a dog and a cat that are with me almost 24/7.
    So you get a few stories and pics of those, in addition to other critters that wander in... hehehe
    Save for the unwelcome critters and the pain I live with, I like my life fine this way, and have no need to be wild and crazy- ('cept for every now and then).
    Now check the tags on my top page... The bigger the tag, the more that is said about that tag.
    I know some of you would rather me stir the pot more often, some not at all.
    But to those of you here on my blogsite...  Regarding those of my friends and relatives on this Multiply site. (and NOT those of you who receive this in your email).  Some of you have already gotten a change notification from me. Accept it or delete me.
    There have been a few people who were in the wrong place to begin with. And this should fix it. I still have a few more of these to do. (Dang dial~up). hehehe  "Also else",  -(as William would say),  I have been having a terrible time keeping up with my friends on here. To keep 'trying' to visit those who do not visit, except rarely- or do not take even a minute to comment anymore, except rarely, is silly for me to keep doing. And so I won't, plain and simple...
