Edited. Fill in the blanks... (While I am working on a new blog). Here ya go... (This is about you, not me). My first job was at __________, where I got paid to __________. What I remember most about it is __________.
No. Its about YOU, not me. I shall fix that now Sorry.
Still trying to sit and type- So far, I have waddled to the back and finished 2 loads of laundry... I have taken the dog out once... And not much else, besides a little bit of typing.
My first job was at a neighbors house, where I got paid to change diapers, make bottles, and keep the baby safe (much like I do now). What I remember most about it is the fact that I was given such an awesome responsibility at such a young age.
My first job was_at a bbq joint, where I got paid to_serve bbq ribs, chicken, baked beans (made from scratch), cole slaw (made from scratch) and potatoe salad. What I remember most about it is_ how much I enjoyed seeing the different people and eating bbq ribs every weekend, YUMMY.
My first job was at an office that was sort of a club for optomitrists, where I got paid to stuff envelopes and file things. What I remember most about it is that they respected me enough to hire me and pay me fair despite the fact that I was only nine and secondly how long it took me to learn to say and spell optomitrist.
My first job was at a lingerie store my parents owned when I was 13 years old, where I got paid to sell ladies negligees and underwear. What I remember most about it is how embarrassing it was to sell stuff to men, who were buying gifts, but wanted me to tell them which items I thought were the sexiest. (I'm so glad you asked this question Annie, now I'm going to need to go back to seeing a therapist!)
Actually, now that I think about it my first paying job was babysitting. I did so much babysitting when I was a teenager that I bought my first car with babysitting money.
my first job was a farrells ice cream shop in the mall in 1977 it was alot of fun, I got paid to make people have fun and laugh, we served an icecream trough and if you ate it all we made a big production, "laaaaaaaaaaadies and gentleman, this man right here and I'd point at him just finished off a trough, i say a huuuuuuuuge big ole trough of ice cream , On this day I am awarding him the Pigs tough ribbon of red " and then Id oink........all for 1.80 an hour.
My first job was in a plant working at a fish called capelin , we had to seperate the females from the males ( the cocks) LOL .. What I remember most was the smell , ewwwwwwww ..
I worked at this for several summers when I got out of school and I remember my first pay check , I bought a ghettoblaster , dang , thought I had the world ..
I know I should know this...it's not coming to me though.

ReplyDeletefunny how many people babysat for their first job... I wasn't allowed to babysit by law until I was 13...but I COULD work with a note from my school.
ReplyDeleteI also don't count the farm work since I was only paid by being allowed to live
