  2. I still haven't replaced my old worn out speakers, too many things on the list ahead of that. I'll have to come back and listen later when I have new speakers.

  3. As I have always said, it is the abuser who ruins the use of something for everybody else. Plus the doctors who just write prescriptions willy nilly without even finding out the cause of someones pain.

I for one, have still....yet...to know the source of my pain and my shortness of breath. Anne...I KNOW something is wrong. I spent 23 hours in the hospital 2 weeks ago and all the doctor did was give me a prescription for pain. I had to ASK for something to help my breathing. Then I get home only to have a major problem with that darned pain medicine.

Last week I got this pamphlet in the mail about this medical company called Lifeline Screening coming to our town on October 21. I called and set up an appointment time.
They will do 5 procedures that will cost me $149.00.
    1- Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening
ULtrasound evaluation of the carotid arteries that screens for buildup of fatty plaque.
2- Heart Rhythm Screening (Atrial Fibrillation)
Painless 6-lead EKG that can detect an irregular heart rhythm. Atrial Fibrillation increases
the risk of stroke 5 times.
    3- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening
Ultrasound is used to screen for the presence of an aneurysm (enlargement) in the
abdominal aorta that could lead to a ruptured aorta.
    4- Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening
Evaluates for peripheral arterial disease in the lower extremities.
    5- Osteoporosis Screening
Ultrasound measurement of the heel bone to determine abnormal bone mass density.

For another 50 bucks I could have gotten a finger stick blood work up. But they took so danged much blood during my trip to the hospital, I felt that was not necessary. May as well get a test that hasn't already been done.

But no....I don't want MORE prescriptions if its not actually going to help fix what is wrong. Unless, of course, I am dying from something. Then I want every pain pill they can throw my way! Hey....I'm even getting to the point of thinking maybe a little bit of Mary Jane would help my pain!
