[My] Life in Wisconsin

MommaLea, Don't SCREAM, but I have a few ?'s.

I will blog about Casey tomorrow. For now she is OK.

Blocked again!
*NOTE:  If you do not care to read about religion or faith, close this window now.

Do I begin with "Good Evening" ?
Or shall I just apologize in advance; and state what pity I feel it is that I am forced to post this in public?
-Dirty underwear and all.
hehehe

I have copied here what has been written of me.

All typos left alone; as is, where is.

"SHE COMES TO TRY AND DISAPPROVE US AS CHRISTIANS THEN SHE USES THAT DEVIL SPIRIT SHE HAS TO ATTACK AND SAY WE JUDGE PEOPLE , I AM ONLY DOING THIS TO LET YOU KNOW ANNE DOES THIS TO CHRISTIANS THAT SPEAK OUT AND ARE ON FIRE FOR GOD , SHE HAS NO MORALS NOR CHRISTIAN FAITH SHE BELIEVES IN THE HERE AFTER, KARMA, AND THE ONLY WORDS OF THE BIBLE GOD WROTE IS THE 10 COMMANDMENTS SHE BELIEVES SHE HAS BEEN HERE BEFORE,AND LIFE ON EARTH IS HELL ITSELF DOES NOT BELIEVE IN THE DEVIL, NOW I AM QUOTING HER FROM HER SITE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME GO READ IT ANNE YOU ARE ONE CONFUSED PERSON !
http://flintville.multiply.com/journal/item/67
Well at least she got the correct link. hehehe

I have already blogged of the person who wrote the above words about me- as previously she was the impetus for me to write "People Are Different."
Click on that if you wish, that was my blog re: homosexuality.

Within that blog I had written:
"I have seen so much hypocrisy and idiocy from people who refuse to learn."
I then quoted her. As momma stated, "if i turn on the TV and ellen is on i turn it, i just wish she would get saved, she seems to have great sense of humor."
To whit, I asked "How does she know Ellen is funny if she doesn't watch her?"
(My question went unanswered)...

A SCREAMING zealot she appears to me. But she has inspired me to reply to her too.

I will begin with her reply to me on my "I Believe, Still"  blog. (Click that if you haven't read it).

*****************************

Anne i clicked on the link to check out about You and what you believe. All i can say is you need to get saved and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. To be Christian is to be Christ Like and here is why i have drawn this conclusion ok.

1.God wrote more than the 10 Commandments he wrote the entire bible through mankind.
2.there is no such thing as the afterlife we live and die then the judgment .
3.we only have one life we don't come back again and again
4.and hell isn't life on earth, and i hope and pray you don't go there
5.you say you don't believe in the devil, well he is very real. Lucifer and all the angels that followed him were thrown out of heaven, he was a beautiful angel once but because he tried to make him self higher than God he was punished.
6.and you believe in Karma>>>>>>>>after reading all about what you believe in it sounds like what the Buddhist believe in or the Hindus.

now in saying all this if you would like to learn more about Gods ways i would suggest you find a good church be faithful lin attending read the bible and prayer is very important . I am not trying to hurt you or tear you down but i do know what works , i have my testimony at my home page under my profile if you care to go read it . i wish all the best for you and i do know you are seeking truth, Jesus Loves you so don't stop searching. "
Lea

*****************************

Lea;
I am happy that you came to read of a little bit of what is inside me.

Know first that you cannot "hurt" me, or "tear me down" - unless I allow you to do so.
(And I am simply not allowing it).   Not today.  Not ever.

I am more than pleased by what is in my heart, and in my soul.
As stated it does not matter to me if you agree, or if you do not.

As far as I am concerned, everyone has a right to be here.

You have shared your views.  I will reply in kind; even though to do so is to reiterate much of what has already been written there.

1. You wrote through mankind god wrote The 10 Commandments.
IMHO, you would ONLY be correct if then you will agree that "mankind" includes each and every human being on the face of our Earth.

2.  If there is no such thing as the afterlife, where will you be -to attend that judgment you spoke of,  if your soul/spirit is not alive?
Have you just betrayed yourself, or your god, by that statement alone?

3. Many people do not believe in reincarnation.
If that is your belief then that is your belief. I am not here to change anyone.
Fact: Human burials from between 30,000 and 50,000 B.C. provide evidence of human belief in an afterlife and possibly in deities, although it is not clear when human belief in deities became the dominant view. wiki

4. I  love the way you phrased your reply by stating "and Hell isn't"!
(That's what I said)! hehehe
As stated above in # 3, that is your belief.  I am not here to change anyone.

5.  I  do not believe in the devil.
(That too has been hashed and rehashed so much that it has lost its flavor).
Again as I'd written, "I only believe that there are some very dark spirits and entities living amongst, and near, to us all."

6.  I  really do believe in Karma.
Again, I have already said that. You have only repeated it.
*  I have explained why I feel this way.
But now I am curious if you can explain why you believe that Karma is such a bad thing?

Furthermore, why do you say Karma is exclusive to Buddhists or Hindis? (It isn't you know).
Or were you trying to imply that Buddhism, or Hinduism, ie: other religions, are bad?

My God does not exclude anyone.  Why does yours?
Where does your point-of-view leave people who are other faiths/practices?

What good does it do you to put down anyone else' religion or Faith, (or even the lack of it)?
What good can that possibly do anyone?

My own god does not allow me to do that- Even if he did I would not charge anyone to change.
As I had written to you previously, "I would never presume to know what God thinks of anyone! I would never think that my "God" is better than anyone else'."

God is God. Maybe we could just leave it at "God Is" for those that do believe?

Previously we had this conversation"

Q.     WHAT GOD DO YOU SERVE ANNE?
A. Are you admitting that there is more than one God, by asking me 'what' God I serve? That would be quite a negative in the face of The Ten Commandments.
God, by any other name, is still God.
You seem to be taking KJV all too seriously. Each and every Faith has their 'bible' Sweetie.
And whether He/She is called God, Our Creator, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Yahweh, etc.
Well, that is ALL simple semantics Lea. See, there IS only one God.  And whomever God is -called- (and in direct contrast to Exodus 34:14), I assure you that my "God" is not jealous, or to be feared, if I do good throughout my life.
God will judge my heart and my soul. Nothing else.

Too, your viewpoint sadly excludes way many of gods own creations.
And by "creations" I mean all of mankind; especially those which practice their own religion(s) faithfully.

But I do believe your POV to be quite narrow when compared with my own.

I do not need to attend any church to be a 'good', or just, person. As if I might need an excuse, I will refer you to the anxiety attacks I spoke of also.  Oddly these even seem to present themselves whether I am doing hypnosis, yoga exercises, driving across the state, blogging,  or even attending mass!

I am well to not be part of the "Sunday faithful".
(But I do thank you for caring so darn much).

Again I am quite happy just the way I am. I am sorry you do not see the joy in my own soul.  For there is a little show of Faith (mine) in almost every line; should you decide to reread it- this time as it was written.

I am not searching for anything else. My spiritual life is quite intact.
Oh wait!   You are right!!!!   God loves me anyway...

Have a 'wunnaful' weekend!

XOXO
Anne  -aka-  "The immoral, unchristian, (and confused) one with the Devil Spirit"

Super Majority? Let's DO it!

Hi all;
More politics. Kind of.
Rest assured that if the first post I linked and copied today didn't upset you, perhaps this one will.

Furthermore, if you do not know the definition of 'satire', please go check a dictionary.
-Or just stop reading.

Oh well.

Thank You Sayntj!
Sweetie;
Like yourself, I get oh so tired of listening to whinebags and teabags too.
There are people here that WILL be upset by your words. Too bad. So sad.

It is high time to motivate EVERYONE to get out there and DO something!

XOXO
Me

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -
President Barack Obama on Monday said times were still tough for many Americans, as he defended his policies during aggressive questioning after the worst U.S. recession since the 1930s was declared over.

As audience members at a townhall-style meeting voiced exasperation and disappointment at his administration, and one woman said she was "exhausted" from defending him, Obama stressed he understood that people were frustrated.
Article above excerpted from here
*******
NOTE: If you missed it, this is how President Obama replied to her...

"My goal here is not to try to convince you that everything's where it needs to be -- it's not. That's why I ran for president. But what I am saying is ... that we're moving in the right direction."-
"Something that took 10 years to create is going to take a little more time to solve."

end quote

*******
Smart man, our president.
But back to Sayntj's blog now...
*******

So, 'We The People' are exhausted from defending him? (This is why I cant be president...SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T GET IT).
Defending Obama? That's some arrogant shit!
So here is what I think of it.

Let's get this correct, YOU are tired of defending me?
Really, defending me are you?
When did I need you to defend me?
I don't need you to defend me, I need your support in voting.

I need your support in making sure I have a super majority.
You know what, that is right?
60 democrats! Not 54 democrats and six bastards that works against you!

I know you are disappointed in me, I'm disappointed in what we have not done in comparison to what I wanted to as well.
But you are defending me?
Really, defending what?
The racist comments? I'm President, I don't need defending about my race.

Are you defending that I'm a socialist?
I have done more for Wall Street than I have Main Street, so I'm not concerned about that idiotic label.
Marxist, Hitler, or maybe I'm the monkey in the cartoon the media put out?
Sticks and stones lady!

Now if you want to get real for a minute, you aren't defending me. You are defending your vote. You are defending your choice. Not me, you would be defending all the sexist comments if Hillary won. Will you be exhausted if she is President and the Republicans are telling you that her shrilling voice is killing them?
Or that they are afraid that she scares people because once a month she could kill us all?

It's NOT about me, its about the Democratic Party being in power. Just not enough power.
You are letting the haters to get to you. I see the haters and I welcome the hate! That means I'm doing something they don't like.
Cant you see a small difference? No? Then vote for the guys that put ALL OF US IN THE SHIT I'M CLEANING!

Now if you want to criticize me, please go ahead, I can take it.

I told you change was hard and it takes time. You are bailing on me after two years? But you can hold on to a group that screwed you for years?!
C'mon the last president sent you to two wars without finding Osama bin Laden. Do you know how much that shit cost the country even before I got into office?

Your health care companies can raise your costs every year for over a decade but you stay.
Your job can offer you a 1 to 2 percent raise, while cost of living is skyrocketing for decades, but I'm exhausting you?

Maybe you need to ask yourself-  {the following}-
Am I, a critical thinker, arguing with critics that don't care what I say or do?
That's why you are exhausted! Arguing politics will take your eyes off the prize of policy.
The right has nothing, I am saying...NOTHING TO OFFER YOU!

Social Security privatized, Medicare gone...you will be exhausted alright!

So give me a damn break, this ain't about me needing defending.
You just can't handle hearing that you may have made a bad choice. They are pissing you off and you can't see that they are just fucking with you because they are not in power.
They are PISSED!
You really want to piss them off...make more of the right go home.
Send the Tea Party back to the Koch Bros.

You didn't bet on the wrong horse, so don't go asking for your money before the race is over!
You want out of the game? The right will play your ass!

So, quit defending me, take your ass out and get me a SUPER MAJORITY!
IF YOU WANT CHANGE, GET ME THE GAME CHANGER!

If I fail...then kick my ass out. But don't ask for the "Magic Negro" to pull 60 out his ass.

(See? ... I can defend myself).

Now go, vote, fight for yourself!

*******

Me

PS
More politics tomorrow...
(Wait for it)...

Kitty Genovese, bystanders, hu-mice, and YOU! Yes, you.

Hi all.
I MUST repost this- It is written by "LunarEchoes" and deserves your immediate attention!
Be aware that a few of you will be upset with the language. I don't care.
The message is what is to be attended to.

That some of you might be upset by the message would be beyond my own comprehension.

XOXO
Anne

Here is the post...

"Kitty Genovese, bystanders, hu-mice, and YOU! Yes, you."

In 1964, Kitty Genovese was stabbed, raped, robbed, and stabbed again, in the parking lot and hallway of her apartment building. Her neighbors heard but did nothing. They were afraid to interfere or call the police, lest the attacker turn on them. Or they just didn't give a shit. Either way, people heard her calling for help, saw her stabbed, saw the attacker leave and come back--and did nothing.

Or so the story went. The story was told that way for years, but eventually, someone started studying the reasons that people don't help when others are in trouble, and the Kitty Genovese story began appearing in psychology textbooks as a lead-in to discussions of the bystander effect (also known as the Genovese syndrome) and diffusion of responsibility. It certainly was in my psych text.

As it turns out, about a dozen of Genovese's neighbors knew something was going on (not nearly 40, as was reported at first), and most of them didn't understand the situation. That most of them did nothing is quite bad enough, but of course, it's not nearly as awful once you've heard the original version. But the studies that her case inspired told us something important about what it means to be human--and they are reputable, replicable studies.

The Genovese Syndroms/bystander effect is this:

The more people who witness an emergency, the less likely any of them are to help.

There are lots of reasons that happens, but the two big ones are that everyone assumes someone else will handle it (what I'm going to call the Somebody Else's Problem effect, in honor of Douglas Adams) and that everyone looks at everyone else to see if others think something needs to be done--and since everyone is looking at everyone else, no one is doing anything, so everyone thinks no one else thinks anything needs to be done (I'm going to call that the People are Sheep effect, because People are Fucking Idiots effect seems counterproductively harsh).

"What," you obligingly ask, "does all of this have to do with hu-mice, as posited by Christine Janet Weiss O'Donnell?"

Wellilltellya.

Right now, we have candidates for national office who variously
believe that:

think that:

Those are just a few of the wild and weird ideas out there, and I only looked at candidates for national office.

"Okay, but what do Kitty Genovese, diffusion of responsibility, the bystander effect have to do with that? you ask. "Not to mention, what does any of it have to do with me?"

Lemmefinishtellinya.

Someone for whom I have the highest respect commented, on a link to the story about Jim Russell and how he thinks white people have higher IQs than everyone else and interracial marriage is bad, that she is glad this stuff is out there, if that's what it takes to get people to wake up. And I replied that no one is going to wake up if this stuff doesn't get more exposure.

But then I started thinking about what would happen if it did. For one thing, a lot of people are getting tired of the insanity.

I think most people pretty much know that, say, "drug czar" or "education czar" isn't a title of nobility conferred by the U.S. government (even if they don't know that the Constitution doesn't forbid that); that school integration isn't a conspiracy to sexually imprint kids to people of "other races"; and that ranting about fluoridated water puts you squarely in Dr. Strangelove territory. But people are tired of hearing candidates and pundits say that Candidate X is nuts, which makes me wonder to what extent people are paying attention.

Beyond, that, though, I think that every voter in the U.S. could be notified of this stuff by phone, email, certified letter, and singing telegram--and these candidates could still be elected.

Why? Because people are sheep, and if you look around at what other people are doing about the upcoming election, only the ones who fear fluoride, liquor, hu-mice, interracial marriage, and government interference with anything but a woman's right to choose are doing anything. So sane people are looking at each other, and mostly, all the other sane people are doing is looking around, so it would be awfully easy to think that no one sane thinks anything needs to be done.

Why else? Because, really, it's all Somebody Else's Problem. YOU don't have to vote, I don't have to vote, no one sane has to vote--because all the other sane people are taking care of it.

This is not Somebody Else's Problem. Today, the Republicans and a few of the Democrats in the Senate refused to allow debate on whether and how to fund the military, because they didn't want to let gay people serve openly in the military, even though 80% of the country does. If you know someone who is serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, this is your problem. If you don't, but you care about our troops, especially the ones serving in dangerous places, this is your problem.

And those Senators? They're the sane ones. They're the good ones. They're the ones that candidates like Paul, O'Donnell, Angle, Russell, Miller, and Buck are trying to defeat.

And I didn't even talk about the candidates for statewide office, like the one who sends out pictures of people having sex with animals and wants to use eminent domain to prevent the mosque at Ground Zero.

So, if you think that you can sit on your ass because you're having a personal "enthusiasm gap," GET OFF YOUR ASS. No one else is going to act in this emergency, because everyone else thinks someone else--like YOU--is taking care of the problem.

You don't feel like voting? Fuck you.

You don't think the Democrats or the moderate Republicans or the ordinary Republicans have done enough for you? Fuck you.

You think that you can disengage and rely on the rest of us to get out there and vote, because you're so much more entitled than the rest of us? FUCK YOU.

If you don't vote this November and we get a Congress full of "no exceptions" anti-abortion nutcases who think the Civil Rights Act of 1964 might have been a mistake and that the Communists are trying to force us to fight cavities while the Constitution says we can't have Dukes--I'm blaming you.

Me and everyone else who, hearing a neighbor scream for help, would call the fucking police and rush out to help.

And we're people of action.
So stop relying on everyone else to fix the problem, get off your ass, start paying attention--and vote.

Broncos WR McKinley found dead- NFL -

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ak.vTVXLksqSDiUBqCgZv49DubYF?slug=ap-broncos-mckinleydeath
From Yahoo! Sports.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)—For the third time in four years, the Denver Broncos are dealing with the death of a teammate.
Kenny McKinley, a fifth-round pick out of South Carolina in 2009, was on the Broncos' injured reserve with a leg injury this season.
(AP)
AP Sports Writers Pete Iacobelli in Columbia, S.C., and Pat Graham and Associated Press Writers Ivan Moreno and Kristen Wyatt in Denver contributed to this story.

Wide receiver Kenny McKinley (notes) was found dead in his home Monday in an apparent suicide.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said authorities were called to McKinley’s home in Centennial at 3:35 p.m. local time and found McKinley’s body in the second-floor master bedroom. He said detectives believe McKinley, 23, was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Robinson said authorities were called by a female friend of McKinley’s who discovered the body after returning from an errand with his child. The sheriff declined to say if authorities found a suicide note.

“It’s still part of our investigation and probably nothing we’ll talk about right now,” he said.

McKinley was on injured reserve after hurting his left knee in August for the second time in eight months. He was known for his infectious smile and good sense of humor.

His death is the latest in a series of tragedies for the Broncos in recent years.
Cornerback Darrent Williams was slain in a drive-by shooting on New Year’s Day 2007.
Three months later backup running back Damien Nash collapsed and died after a charity basketball game in St. Louis.

McKinley was a fifth-round draft choice out of South Carolina in 2009. He remains South Carolina’s all-time leading receiver with 207 catches for 2,781 yards. He returned to the school earlier this month, watching the Gamecocks beat Georgia 17-6 and visiting with his college coach, Steve Spurrier.

“Had a wonderful smile just like he always did,” Spurrier remembered.

The news of McKinley’s death spread quickly at the end of South Carolina’s practice Monday. Players who normally sprint off the field upbeat walked slowly with their heads down.

“Kenny was certainly one of my all-time favorite players. It’s hard to figure out why it happened like this,” Spurrier said.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said in a statement: “Kenny had a promising future on the football field, but more importantly, he was a great teammate whose smile and personality could light up the room. This is a tragic loss for our football team, and his family is in all of our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

McDaniels planned to meet with the media on Tuesday, the players’ day off. They’ll reconvene Wednesday to resume preparations for their game against Indianapolis at Invesco Field on Sunday.

McKinley was a second-year pro who played in eight games as a rookie in 2009 with seven kick returns for 158 yards before going on injured reserve with a left knee injury on Dec. 29, two days after he was hurt in a game at Philadelphia.

He recovered and participated in the team’s offseason workouts but got hurt again during the first week of training camp and was placed on IR on Aug. 5.

Several Broncos players were attending a fundraiser Monday night in honor of Williams but declined to comment on McKinley’s death.

Cornerback Champ Bailey(notes) and former NFL star John Lynch(notes) headlined the wine-tasting VIP event to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver, home of the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center.

The Broncos hustled out of their Dove Valley practice facilities Monday night, many of them headed to the charity event unaware of the latest tragedy to befall the franchise.

Several said as they left the event that they weren’t ready to talk about McKinley’s death.

At McKinley’s home in a subdivision in the southern Denver suburbs, a bouquet of flowers wrapped in purple was propped against the door Monday night.

Peace to Denver.
XOXO, Me

Casey. Punk. Both a Bit Sleep Deprived.

Casey- At the hotel.
That is bruising under her eyes...

Hi all
We are home.

Greg and Casey at Home!

I was wrong in my earlier entry...
Casey WILL be needing to restart the iron infusions.
She begins those tomorrow.
I will repost more about that after that appointment.

Casey and Punk, resting
At the hotel-

Punk- On the way home- Happier than all get out!

Fresh Air

In direct contrast to Casey-

Feeling Nasty
Those darn headaches of hers- with tummy pain also.

No Road Construction? hehehe

Wish she was just trying to get past these without looking? We didn't hit too much construction-
In Wisconsin, all the highway road crews need to be finished, or at least have all roads open to Green Bay, for home Packer Games.
(And what a great game it was)!

It has been chilly weatherwise. down to the low 40's at night, and to the high 60's or so during the day.
Unless it rains the temps in the house aren't too bad yet.
We are to have a temperature spike tomorrow to bring the temps to the mid 70's! But of course along with those warmer temps come the promise of a few storms.
Oh well. Like they say, you can't win them all.

It is time to prepare for Fall and Winter.
While shopping the other day I did remember to get a new furnace filter. I have been forgetting for some time now, and I only had the non-disposable filter that came with the furnace. That one is fine to use during the Summer when I only want to run the fan to circulate the air, but not near good enough when the furnace needs to heat my living spaces. (I do have the entire upstairs unheated- and also the back bedroom downstairs that gets no heat).

Finally I buy my new filter- (I am still so proud that I remembered to do that)!

Changing the old filter out I also add a bit of my homemade air freshener.
Going to smell good in here- a bit of potpourri and vanilla too.

Now throw in an eccentric dog...
When I go to the basement, Punk refuses to go down, unless I specifically ask.
Weird dog!

ARF! "No I won't go in the basement!"
She sits at the top of the steps-
Methinks she is waiting for an invitation.
  hehehe

At any rate, I am all ready for the cold to come and set in.
Wait...
Apparently I am not.
---  I found one little snafu to the whole thing.

Uh-Oh
Oops
No use even thinking about turning the darn thing on now.
hehehe

Punk is trying to fight sleep right now.

Sleepy Punk
hehehe

Maybe I am too.

Long afternoon tomorrow.
I will close for now, and get to bed too...

Love to all.
I hope all is well in your little corner of the world. And I will get to checking your own blogs and news as soon as I can.

XOXO
Me

Casey, and Our "Tick-Tock Morning", Friday.

Rodney and I.
Casey took the picture- (What's NOT to be smiling at, for us two)?

Good Morning Everyone.
Yesterday, and with 5 separate alarms to wake us...
Oh OK, maybe just the first few thoughts.

I wake.
Stretch.
Time for only one smile, and a peek at the clock reminds me that we are leaving bright and early.
Stretch again-
Put glasses on.
Look at clock again. OMG!!! I have overslept by an hour!  WHAT?
Good god help me.

(
Know that I had set two separate alarms)!!!
They will be going off at those same points every afternoon; repeatedly, until we get home to shut them off.
hehehe (AM/PM settings are bass~ackwards on that clock, - I had obviously forgotten that little fact).
AM? PM? What's the Diff?

Casey had also set two alarms on her phone. Knowing she has a tendency to hit snooze, she set her phone near her pillow before falling to sleep.
At least, those alarms went off. (U
nbeknownst to her, the while she slept, that darn alarm clock/phone had fallen under the waterbed mattress).

Greg's alarm went off, he had shut it off a few times...
(Asleep, but in the back of his mind he knew that Casey had told him she would wake him).

Sooooooo... My morning consisted of the following-
Jump out of bed!
Hit the floor moving. (Bewilder dog by doing so).
Holler up the stairs...

Finish drying that last load of clothes.
Pack. (In a furious fashion).
Feed/water dog.
Let the poor thing outside.
(Promptly forget about her)
Be still for a minute, just to listen.
I hear no noise...
Holler up the stairs again.
Scramble to dress.
Run brush through hair.
Hurry to look non-frightening to small children and their parents.
Forget about putting on makeup- (Heck, it's pitch dark, and who cares anyway)?
Wildly throw bare essentials
in car. (This includes sick child and confused dog).
Ask Greg to please lock up.
Pull out of driveway- Redefine the phrase "Bat out of hell"...
Tell Casey to start talking, (or I might go right back to sleep).
Chug some Pepsi.
Know that dark, fast, and rainy is no way to drive through life, or Wisconsin. And pray to the powers that be that there will be no kamikaze venison hanging out on highway.

Pit stop for us all about ½way here-

Top off gas tank.
Grab some more caffeine.
Shove sweet roll down my throat.
3 empty bladders later, (and a poo for the pup), we hit the road again.
Keep redefining the above
"Bat out of hell" definition... we pass trucks we had already passed 75 miles earlier, and a little over an hour ago-

Pass cow on road.
  Wait.. What?  Check rearview mirrors.
Realize that Casey has mouth hanging open too- (An odd reflection of my own).

Yes, that was a cow.
(Remind me to alter that prayer to include the kamikaze beef also).
But there she was- little brown jersey- just watching the traffic go past with those beautiful big brown eyes of hers.
..

KC calls hitchhiking cow in to 911.
(I thoroughly enjoy eavesdropping on the conversation that ensued).

Tick Tock...
Casey's appointment is for 10.

Keep on trucking, not even interested in watching the clock. It is passing minutes as we are passing other vehicles.

After all this, we arrive here at 9:06 anyway. hehehe
An extra hour early!
(WOOT Baby, WOOHOO)!
There is time enough leftover to find a room and unpack a little!
Got a room, with the bare minimum of rooms available due to NFL game in town this weekend; but a room for us anyway.

Punk was so happy to see Trent at the front desk! (She is assured a room for an extra night)- Not us though.
hehehe
We changed from travel clothes to something a bit more human. (Keeping in mind that poorly folded, and even wrinkled, is better- somehow).  And to remember not to wear purple in this town.

Finally to be here -
- and on our way to see Dr. S. for 10.
Leave Casey off in front of clinic.
Find parking ramp.
Find stall.
Hightail it back down to tunnel to clinic.
Whew...

I borrowed a ride on the patient/visitor golf cart/transport- Nice to see Mr. George again - Such a nice man, (AND he even remembered me)!
  hehehe

Caseys doctor visit?
I will borrow words I had left within yesterdays blog comments.

Dr. S. has ordered many tests-
We will have to return for a few of those, (to include an appointment for the hematological aspect of this all).

They drew about 12 vials of blood-
Casey is ordered OFF the lovenox for now. (He believes that most blood clots will resolve).
For follow up to go back to the hospital in town, or to her GP. Will keep an eye on it.

But he does want to investigate WHERE this is coming from? More accurately put, where her iron is going to.

He also said that she probably will not need the infusions-
A few Rx things to change, and to try those suggested measures first.
She is also to take Protonix every day.
Again, your thoughts and positive well wishes and prayers keep us going."

She write down everything! Her questions for, and replies from, all of her visits.
Too bad she doesn't blog about it all. (Hint hint Casey)!

Dr. Sutherland and Casey

The scale shows that between Thursday and Friday she has gained 13 pounds.
Granted her weights were taken at 2 different hospitals- (but 13 pounds)? Even if you allow a difference of 5 pounds- she has still gained 8 pounds.
That is still one heck of a difference!

Retaining 'Something"
One can see that she has begun retaining water, fluids, something...

Compare that one to her injection photo from Thursday.

At the least, you can see that this same tummy was not swollen one bit Thursday.

Casey, Self-Injecting
There is no fluff anywhere on this child of mine. Just lots of skin and bone! hehehe

Bruising From the Lovenox
Casey, showing her Lovenox injection bruising.

Here she is, once again to be reminded of the hitchhiking cow.

Casey~FACE!
(Ok- maybe it was something she couldn't understand ie: what the nurse just said).
hehehe

The very top photo here is of myself and my brother-in-law, Rodney- He is my sister Barbara's husband.
He came to the hotel to visit, and we had the very nicest chat! Nice to be able to be reminded to laugh at this whole ordeal too!
We were so happy to see him- I haven't, in too many years. They recently lived in Alabama, now have moved to Florida.

Uncle Rodney and Casey
Casey with her Uncle Rod!

Stealing from his own intellect, he had many great ideas for Casey!
First is to remind us that not everything that happens to her will be because of all the GI issues she has had.
After checking her a bit, he suggested that there is a possibility of a kidney infection. That if she keeps getting those- or has had the bloody kidney infection in the past, to get this angle checked out. (This would also account for her fever)!
Add to that the fact that no one recalls when she last even had a urinalysis.

Secondly he offered, her pain, given the location, might also be suggestive of an ovarian cyst, to make an appointment with an OB/GYN. (Due to a bad experience last month, she already had one set up)!

Sometimes it takes a little reminding that Casey might not be an abnormal young lady. And here we are always thinking that things are happening one way- and then forgetting the definition of comorbidity.
Such practical advice. (Thank you Rodney)!

Back to yesterdays doctor visit, we have not yet heard how any of her blood tests have turned out. Some will take a while to get the results from, but some had to have come back yesterday also. Will know more today, maybe.

Trent did find us a room for tonight also, we won't be needing it until we return for those tests and stuff.
I will close for now. Getting more punchy by the minute here.
I need to lie down a bit more, and maybe even sleep! I had taken Punk out earlier, and she has been snoozing ever since.
Now, it's my turn.   hehehe

Have a 'wunnaful' weekend!
My love to all!

Casey. ER. Blood Clot.

Casey is very ill-
Your prayers, thoughts, etc are ALWAYS appreciated...

Not sure where to begin...
We all had very long morning-
Casey does have a blood clot in her arm. There could be more elsewhere... (Not crossing that bridge).

This clot in her arm? I got the impression that it was small?
(Admittedly, I do not know what the definition is of 'small' for a clot either).

Blood Clot
Maybe this is small?

They gave her an ultrasound-

Casey US

Should anyone know what the heck this represents, please let me know? hehehe

The pain she described as hot and stabbing- "like there's a knife in there and it won't come out."
She felt it all the way down to her thumb- said it felt like she banged her elbow- Just perpetually.

She is now also on Lovenox, 50/5
Not sure, but I still have to look all that info up.

(I do remember giving these shots to Randall in his tummy after his stroke).

Casey, Self-Injecting

She gave herself one injection at the hospital-
Another later tonight-

We got home, trying and trying to get through to Dr. Sutherland-
His asst called me back shortly after 4.  Dr S. wants Casey there by 10 tomorrow morning.
Ann-Marie told me that this sounds very serious; and could not understand why her docs here wanted just to give her more infusions.
(
Hey wait! Wasn't that MY question)!!!

She did offer to check on that for me- This offer, right before she said to come in by 10AM - So I declined that offer- Knowing that we should have some answers, or at least maybe a better "plan" after we see him.

Good timing here- My dryer has just buzzed...

That stated, I need to fold my clothes, treat my freakin' head, and lie down and 'nap' for a bit. I will pack when I wake.
We will leave here by 3AM.   With the good lord willin' and the creeks don't rise.

My love to all.
