PREJUDICE AND CRUELTY ARE UNWELCOME.

Our Casey~Face

{Some} Old White Men REALLY SUCK. (It's a rant).

Good Morning All;
I am back inside; after trying to mow a bit. I did. Then threw the belt... It is WAAAAY too bloody hot to try to put it back on right now, so I shall wait a bit and take advantage of my very premature 'break' as it is...
hehehe
I am actually beginning to feel overheated already! Go figure...

Hope all is well with everyone else.

We had quite a 'trying' week here. Both for Casey and myself.

On Monday Casey had an appointment at the clinic for 7AM, and has some infection in her teeth. The dentist (because of her history) sent her off to another dental dentist/surgeon. This 1st dentist not even prescribing an antibiotic, even though he was repeatedly told she has no spleen. WTF?
So she calls this referral; the other dentist.
Understandably, he won't prescribe without seeing her first- and had an available appointment for her on the 29th. Whew.
Oh, but wait!!!!
We had misheard.
It was the 29th, (of August)!!!
Not even close enough; nope, not by a long shot. She had even informed the staff there about her absent spleen. They cared not one whit about that. -
Now, please keep in mind that Casey and I watched Randy have a stroke in front of us, and due to the fact that he hadn't sought treatment for an infected tooth!!!! The infection traveling to his heart, setting in on his mitral valve. He was fine until a little piece of infection/vegetation had broken off and settled in his brain. It was an awful morning here as we waited for the rescue squad and the cops to get here.  Grrr...
But I digress...

So Casey ended up calling her GP- At least HE prescribed her something, sight unseen- and who probably also had a few words with that first dentist. (They are in the same building).
* If you read my "note" from Friday, then you know that Casey still ended up at the hospital...

But, back to Monday.
I also had a pain management appointment at 10:30AM. Casey came with and even came in with me.

We left there about 11:30. Which meant that we had time to pick up a few groceries at the local pantry.
Coming out of there, we saw an old man, raising his cane to a young girl- About 20 years old. She had her brother with her as he was to babysit for her while she went to an interview. (And we all know that when one has an interview, it is of the highest priority in this day and age)!

Background info: They have a driveway at the pantry that would fit at least 2½ semi/rigs through it at the same time. (They are only open 2 hours/day).
For their customers, they have parking on the road only- And in a shared parking lot kitty~corner across the street.  (And only one handicapped parking spot off the road close to their door, and where we were parked); although there are 2 more spots further away from the building. This young girl had pulled up to stop just short of the yellow line painted on the curb. This took up maybe 2 or 3 feet past where their driveway begins... She had a bitty car.
This girl, young and just a beautiful Mexican/white, or Mulatto perhaps, along with her brother, were putting their groceries in their car, when this old fart starts swearing at her to move her "GD fu*K*%g car" this minute, raising his cane and threatening her.

Aside from those threats, he'd also had many racial slurs to toss her way.

She pulled the car forward to appease him, and by then was into the yellow curb by the same driveway.
THEN, he did it all over again because he claimed she was in the handicapped spot.
She was not! I was.

Casey had pretty much immediately called Randy who was on duty by then. He had her call Green Bay, as he works for the county, not the city... Before she called GB, she warned the old fart she was calling the cops.
At first he waved her off with his cane. Then he told her "I am the cops", and not to bother.

BS- He would provide no ID. She called the city number anyway; telling the operator everything that had transpired and been said- and what was still going on. The girl, by this time was scared shitless by him; and witless about missing her interview. I told her just to go, that we would take care of this old piece of white trash. I also told her that NO ONE ever has the right to talk to her like that. She was crying, but she did leave.

About 5 minutes later an unmarked lieutenants car and a marked Green Bay police car pull up. Each from different directions. Casey hung up and called Randy back telling him that our help were there. Keep in mind Randy then kept her on the phone just in case anything else happened.

Did they ask US what had happened? No.
They walked over the pantry people, where the old fart with the cane was; (and where management had come out. Then the cops simply walked away.
What?
I said, "Oh hey, don't you want to know our side of the story? None of those other people had been out there to witness anything."

After the lieutenant had turned to holler "NO" at me, they went and spoke with each other across the street.

But they did come back. Casey, still on the phone, was told to hang up (she put the phone on the seat next to her), and asked if they were going to arrest that man. The lieutenant said no, that the old man had denied everything. The younger cop then asked Casey if she wanted to be arrested for calling in a false police report.
What the hell?

I told that younger asshole that I would be going downtown to receive a written report on all what had transpired, and to make sure he wrote it honestly.  (
I do know how these guys operate. I also know the consequences for writing a dishonest incident report). God help me, but I so wanted to tell him that as he had also threatened me for getting in~between the old fart and the girl.
Bullshit. ANYONE would have done the very same thing I did. A little piece of lady had tried to stand up to, but was really against that old bastard with a weapon. and an awful mouth. Newsflash for him, I could have taken him (hell, I had a cane too), with NO cane and one hand behind my back no matter how much pain I was in. I promise you that!

But apparently we were only to watch and wait to see the little girl get the hell beat out of her. That will never happen, no matter the consequences, not while I am seeing it go down. And yes, I did tell deputy whatever he is, exactly that.
The "L" jumped in telling me that he saw no blood, no broken teeth etc. (I showed him mine after I told him he sounded exactly like the ignorant cops that had responded back when my 1st husband used to beat the living shit out of me. Then again, in that day and age, I was told it was my fault. Yes, very flippantly I showed him my own teeth.
He claimed he needed to see blood. (*The * effin' *hell * he* did*)! Though dammitallanyway, I didn't say that. I regret not saying it.

In the meanwhile, Randy had asked Casey for him to be able to speak with one of the city boys. (Since city cops hate county, (and vice-versa), the "L" declined, as did his little chipmunk).
Casey remained on the line, crying not only from her godawful .pain, but because she was very afraid to be arrested. Thankfully, Randy assured her it would not happen.
They took our ID's - I told the younger that Randy's info is on the back, and to make a note of it. He said he wouldn't, that he didn't care.

We finished packing up our own groceries and left.
Casey clearly needed to gather her own wits and get her heart-rate down, so we stopped off at one of my the stations I used to manage...
Still pissed I am!
"You are not welcome back here, and if we see you again, you will be arrested. (That from a person standing close behind me- I had not sat down yet- who is the GM of the pantry, and of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in GB).
I knew the voice, recognizing it almost immediately even though he had been talking to my back... hehehe
When finally I had turned after his little tirade, he realized exactly "who" I was. (He once worked for a local distributor, [L.A. Edlbeck], and I had used his company for my stores for many many years). Meeting my eyes, he slowly hung his head, turned, and walked away- My glare burning into his back- He HAD to have felt it.
Later that little a-hole cop had told me that the mgr had changed his mind.
Craig, knows how to find me so I impatiently await the call or the letter of apology. (Either of which I promise you, I *will* receive).
They came back presently with our licenses. And told us to leave. I reminded them again i would be needed to see the incident report. Younger boy cop did then ask for Randy's number.
End of story. I have not yet sufficiently cooled down to go downtown to pick up that report. But I promise to cool off soon.
Dirty bastards.

Ya'all know by now being idle is not my middle name... Nor is it CaseyAnne's.

My question is, would you be able to watch someone WHO IS CLEARLY at a disadvantage, get beaten and/or killed?
Not I.

XOXO

Priests Retirement Dinner

A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and to give a little speech at the dinner.

However, since the politician was delayed, the Priest decided to say his own few words while they waited:

He spoke, "I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it.
He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs and gave VD to his sister.
I was appalled!!!

But as the days went on, I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people.

Just as the Priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and gave his talk:

"I'll never forget the first day our parish Priest arrived," said the politician. "In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession."

Moral: Never, Never, Ever Be Late!

Come sing with me for a little while?

Good Afternoon All;

I don't think I have truly blogged for almost a month, (the 'notes' I posted about all of our storms do not count).
My apologies.
I shall try to be a better blogger.

As some of you know, I have 2 brand~spankin' new fractures-
One as a birthday present, the next was last week. Will I make a special appointment for these new ones? No. I do not need to spend money that I do not have, to have another MRI, which I do not need; just so they can tell me something I already know.
 Do I? hehehe

¡ How dare they think that I don't know what a fracture feels like by now!  Good grief.
I need many more tests for, uh, other stuff, and have an appointment tomorrow and Thursday for some of those.

Needless to say this darn weather hasn't been too nice on my head either...
... And damn!, - if I don't forget to pick up the one med that I really need.
(Maybe I will write it on my hand or tie a string around my pinkie for when I go into town). hehehe

Life goes on.

 - in absentia... My thoughts and prayers
... I had been terribly upset that a friend I have on here had been 'gone' for 3 weeks. A heartsick thing for me to not know what was happening to my friend. I am happy now to report that all is well.
So(๏̯͡๏ )oooooO very HapPY!!!    rolling laughing smiley face

This morning was a "long" one- I have been up since about 10:30 last night- Just couldn't go back to sleep.  (One of THOSE nights).
I made good use of reading lots more that I could find on Osteoporosis.
I don't 'feel' any effects from not sleeping well- yet.
That said, then I shall try to mow the lawns today when I am done writing this; if they are dry anyway.
(Wish me luck).
At least the ground under the lawns won't be so dry that every little bump feels like a cannon~ball punch in the back, removing what breath I have in my lungs- (and so startling for me as/when it happens too).
Ooh crap-  just thinking that I might need to go to the gas station for a bit more gasoline before I start.

Punk, Sputty and I were all outside very very early today. I love most Summer mornings...

Today is National Nude Day!

Use your imagination if you have to,
but just look at how many places can be broken on one little vertebra!!!
Trust me it sucks.

You'd better grab a cup of coffee. I seem to have gotten a bit longwinded here!
Sorry 'bout that.

Good Afternoon All;
I have been totally remiss in writing. My apologies. Polly even called from Wyoming to find out what was up. (She knows when I'm not feeling the greatest by when I write).
The thing is there is nothing, (most days), beside pain to write about.
Yes, I have 2 more fractures.
I am now up to close to 2 dozen, if not more... (I don't ask, and it doesn't really matter to mu Dx.).
Check out the picture above and you can see that there are many sides and extensions to one vertebra.
I can easily break one little vertebra any number of times. What a cool trick! j/k

My back is directly related now to my teeth. And here I thought the ankle bone was connected to...).
I had a dental appointment yesterday.
My last 'plan' of attack with the DDS office was to have certain teeth gone, then to have a bridge made. That can no longer be done, and now I have to sit through a few (2) root canals.
Say "crap".

Then he referred me elsewhere as he doesn't even want to look in my mouth because I had taken the Reclast, (zoledronic acid), for my osteoporosis.
Once you take Reclast, you can have nothing done that might affect your jaw in any way.
guilty as charged. I dragged my heels long enough regarding the necessary work to my mouth.
Still, in all fairness to me, I could not have work done with going to Minnesota all the time. (By the way, that is NOT a complaint. It simply is the way it is).

I found a very good article on Osteoporosis here.
Do that click. I will have to reread it a few times so everything sinks in.
(I swear that I look like the lady in the picture)! hehehe  OK, maybe not that bad.
A few sentences:
" Some 44 million people in the United States are at risk for this potentially debilitating disease, which is responsible for 1.5 million fractures (broken bones) annually. These fractures, which are often the first sign of the disease, can affect any bone, but the most common locations are the hip, spine, and wrist. Breaks in the hip and spine are of special concern because they almost always require hospitalization and major surgery, and may lead to other serious consequences, including permanent disability and even death."
- end quoted text

* I am also thinking on starting an osteoporosis page, somewhere, that would chronicle my own trip through this debilitating disease.

Speaking of root canals and dentists, they seem to be contagious somehow. Casey will be going in tomorrow. (Paying Midwest dental a TON of money a few short years ago, she has just learned that many of those fillings have cavities UNDER the filling itself). Mad to hear that, I would have her just go back and demand correction, but they closed down- out of business- a year ago.
One of her root canals just fell apart in her mouth last night while she was flossing. What an awful thing to have happen!
Greg's dad is a dentist, but he is not her dentist- as he practices 90 miles away.

I had my monthly pain management appointment last week. My b.p. was 162/108! This is comparable to the highest it has ever been for me. I have a call in to get a refill on the Micardis-80. It will help with my migraines too. Am battling a migraine as I type- It began about 10:30 or so, complete with the aura, and the barfies. (And yes, I took my meds for it). I hate when they don't work as well as they should! I took my blood pressure just to check and it was 147/97.
Keep in mind that we all, (my daughters and I) have always had borderline LOW blood pressure.
(Normal" for me is about 90/58).
Must make note to pick up that RX tomorrow.
I also ate one of Polly's chocolates for my head. Thank you Polly! These seem to help it too. Now if only I had a Mountain Dew laying around. (Yes, what sets off migraines also has a tendency to cure them).

According to the Bizarre Holidays section on my top page, it is National Nude Day.
(I am glad they made this 'day' in the midst of Summer- Whew. Things could get a little nippy)! hehehe

Speaking of naked...  hehehe
Did I hear correctly on my news this morning?
Ted Danson is going to be heading up CSI- where Lawrence Fishburne left off? Should be interesting. (CSI is one of the shows that I record). And I haven't even finished watching the last 4 shows from this past season. Too bad that now i know how it will end. ;-(
Oh well.

The results from our first round of voting tells me that the real Democrats in Wisconsin have easily beat their "Fake" counterparts.
What is a "fake Democrat" you ask? It is but a Republican who puts his name on the Democrats ballot.
So happy I am that people were paying attention- AND intelligent enough to vote as they did!
Happy too that our infamous governor Walker was disrespected at Gateway Technical College. The protesters drowned him out! Click here for that story.

What else have I missed?
Oh yeah- Casey Anthony. As I had commented on several other blogs:
"I am at a loss for words here kids-
Am I the only person who was nauseated by those parents?
There is something horribly wrong with that entire family.
Brother is in love with his sister- Mama lies under oath (or maybe not)
Papa also lies on the stand.
Murder One? And all on Casey's shoulders? I don't think so.
Daughter hasn't ever been made to accept responsibility for anything.  I sincerely believe Mommy and Daddy know one hell of a lot more than they are telling.  I think they hold a certain culpability with this baby's death also. BUT DAMNED IF I KNOW WHAT IT IS
Methinks the jurors must have known what "innocent until proven guilty" means.
There was no proof of anything; save for the lies."
end
* Now can we please get on with our lives and stop the BS?

Stumbled on this cute little saying from The Old Farmers Almanac.
"Hoarfrost and gypsies never stay nine days in a place."
Maybe I shall become a gypsy now? Methinks it really would be a LOT of fun!

I like the weather forecast for today. High to be only in the upper 70's,, and almost none of that nasty humidity. Nice! So I suppose I should cut lawn today.
Tomorrow, and forward we are to be heading back up to the 80's, (and the 90's by Sunday), AND that godforsaken humidity will return too. Say "UGH."
Since I don't want to be mowing hay again I will try to get that done. ("Try" being the definitive word).

Interesting fact about the USA's weather from here. "There were close to 700 tornadoes in April, shattering that month's previous record by at least 400, and breaking the previous record for any month by more than 100. The approximately 1,400 tornadoes through the first half of the year are more than the US had in all of 2010!"
Another weather notation here claims,
"In 2011, there have already been eight U.S. weather-related disasters causing at least a billion dollars in damage, by far the most ever for the first half of a calendar year."

They just said we may get rain this afternoon, so outside I go!

My love to all. Stay happy and cool!

Emergency Letter to Obama: You Can't Cut Social Security

http://other98.com/emergency-letter-obama-social-security/
Emergency Letter to Obama: You Can’t Cut Social Security

…and then ask us for financial and volunteer support.

The New York Times and the Washington Post are reporting that President Obama may offer cuts to Social Security and Medicare to the GOP in their Debt Ceiling deal. This is an “All hands on deck” moment for every progressive in America. The same Republicans who raised the debt ceiling 5 times (and by nearly $4 Trillion) under George Bush in order to give HUGE tax cuts to the super-rich and mega corporations are now telling America that we can’t afford to take care of our parents and grandparents in their old age.

The Tea Party Congress is not even remotely interested in making compromises or doing what’s right. They are out to destroy America’s greatest social contract and promise to the American people: The New Deal. They are holding our parents and grandparents hostage right now to protect the wealth of the Wall St. tycoons that sabotaged our economy in the first place.

The President of the United States does not negotiate with hostage takers.

Sign our emergency letter to President Obama today: Protect Social Security and Medicare benefits – or don’t ask for grassroots help.

The Other 98% of America needs Obama to take Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare off the table with the GOP. If the Obama and the Dems expect us to fight for them next year then we had better see them fight for us right now.

Blogging?

97° - with the humidity at 70+
A little warm for Flintville

taken 2 days ago...

Good Morning All;
I just realized that I need to finish transferring all of my old blog entries from Yahoo...
When I joined Multiply, it only would take the first 250 blogs- If you had more than that, you have to transfer them one at a time. Something I never did. Too lazy with this darn dial up modem.
The gospel according to Yahoo is that I have about 2 weeks to do this. Should be enough time.

When I began to enter the world of blogging I had NO idea what I was doing! (Sometimes I still don't know).
If not for Casey's computer knowledge I would still be flopping around somewhere.   hehehe

Why I began? I really don't know- Probably because it was easier than penning and mailing all of my words; AND, I could also add a picture without using up any ink from the printer!
(I'm kind of cheap that way).

Now I add a whole bunch whether you guys want to see them or not.
(I'm kind of rude like that)!

I have been busy outside-
Check these pictures out...

Before  .....  After
At least it is down.

Jim (of snowplowing fame) came and mowed the deep stuff down. I went over it twice more to chop the hay up after it dried. I still have to do this to the lower yard.
It is only to be 78° today, so maybe I will do that. I'd rather just be lazy.

I went to the Pryes' annual 4th of July bash yesterday. Was bushed when I got home- I didn't stay for the fireworks. I was home by 6:45.  Casey texted at about 8:15- (they had left early too).

Soooooo... Questions for you all-
  1. Why, and when, did you begin blogging?
  2. How many blog entries do you have now?
  3. Do you wish you could meet everyone on your list of contacts? (Why, or why not)?
No need to name names. I don't want to start anything or hurt anyone that might stumble through here.
  4. What are your favorite subjects to blog about?
  5. What have you left out? Why?

Have fun with this one kids!
And have a 'wunnaful' 4th!

XOXO
Me

PS
I had the camera on the wrong setting when I took the picture of the thermometer.  Sorry.

RAOP- Restoring Faith in Humanity. One Slice at a Time? hehehe

Good Evening Everyone!
I mowed a little more on the lawns today, and was reminded of chopped hay. (That would be an "UGH" thought, as I do not have great memories of getting hay in the barn; whether in bales or chopped). hehehe

Done for the day, I came inside, more than a bit dusty, itchy too; but was in time to catch the tail end of abc world news.
Their last little segment being RAOP. Or "Random Acts of Pizza"...

The link is above (Do the click if you can help out anyone, you will be surprised. I was).
I tell you if I had the nerve I would ask for ramps for my wheelchair, or other stuff to make this easier for me somehow... But I am guessing this would be best in bigger towns than mine.
And crap, how very very selfish of me too.

There are pages to click on that will take you to a food pantry, or assi$tance, or clothing exchange...

A heads up too-
Along the right hand column are these words. "READ THIS SIDEBAR BEFORE YOU POST, OR DON'T BE SURPRISED BY LACK OF RESPONSE TO YOUR REQUEST"
So read that first! hehehe

Please do the help thing if you can afford to.

I have heard it said that what you give is returned to you tenfold. I would love to hear YOUR end stories later on.
Then again, kindness should NEVER end...

awwwwwwww  I tried twice now. My darned picture won't upload...

Good Afternoon All
I have been a true surfer online since about 4 this morning. My eyes are probably even crossed by now!

Yes. I mowed lawns. Friend Jim came yesterday to finish them- Problem is that they are so darned long that I will have to re~mow as soon as the cut stuff dries a bit... (Yes, this is what we farm girls call "hay"). hehehe

In my jogging around the internet, I read about New York legalizing gay marriage.
A great article. (And of course some not~so~bright replies).

As Mama used to say, "What a boring life would be if we were all the same."
Suffice to say her words are still accurate. She is still right.

CONGRATULATIONS NEW YORK, and to all whom this legislation may apply!
What a feat you have accomplished!
I can only hope that you are the sixth state of all of our 50.

Good grief.
Can anyone tell me why such a simple matter has to be 'legalized' to even begin with?!?!
When we start loving and respecting people for who they are, instead of whatever 'tag' we choose to feel the need to put on others, we will TRULY be far, far, ahead of the rest of the world.

Wet. Warmer too.

A little bit soggy...
... And yes, the fields 'were' planted-

I hope all is well with everybody in Multiply Land. hehehe Not too many blogs my dears...

It is no longer raining- I believe our skies finally settled down yesterday afternoon.

Hopefully it remains this way with the sun trying its level best to peek out and warm us up.
Flood warnings and watches seem to be the danger of the day. Not like Minot though- Not even close.

Me?
Wish me luck... John, Brandy, and Miss Ashley stopped by last Monday- They put the belt on the lawnmower so I could mow. (Butthe rains kept coming)...

Even though I think my lawns are past mowing, I am going to try.  (I didn't get it done when I'd wanted to because I couldn't get under the mower back then).
A beautiful breeze should ensure that it's dry enough out there; though with the long grass, who knows?

Wish me luck-  Out I go...
Have a 'wunnaful' weekend!
Love to all.

7-UP Please?

Good Morning All;
I went in yesterday morning for 6 more shots in my spine...
They didn't work, but I did throw up all of last night.
Not too sure what that is all about? Though I had been having migraine problems, on and off, all of this past week. (Which I could not take my meds for that because of these upcoming shots).
I called Casey when I began barfing- She told me to take two Benedryl; as it makes your meds work better AND, it works as an anti~emetic too. (Glad I called her- At least I learned something). But I couldn't find any Benedryl to save my soul.
I did manage to sleep for about 2 hours- I will try that again soon; though waking up sick is not my cup of tea. (Anyone have a 7-up for me)?
It is not only my back- Unless neck is back- But there is something also wrong with my neck as my little fingers and ring fingers don't feel right. Both hands. (Sometimes they feel nothing- as do the tops of my toes). Mostly it's a sleeping, buzzing, feeling in my fingers. My doctor has already told me that he can do nothing about this.
Casey had hit a bump on our way back home, (admittedly these are impossible to avoid on this road), and my right hip gave an awful pain -as my back seized up at the same time. I don't recall ever making a noise like that in my life. (Sorry Casey, I didn't mean to scare you). Thank God we were so close to home, and off the freeway; or I would have just opened the door and allowed myself to fall out.
This has all progressed from bad to worse so frickin' damned fast that I just don't know what to do anymore. My hips are both killing me today, and my stomach wants food, but I can't feed it either.
Yup the picture above is accurate. This really does suck. I'll be lucky to even keep my pills down today...
Any suggestions?
I go in on Monday for a physical. (This is insurance required for the pain pump 'trial').  I am having that "trial" come the 27th.
We will have to make 4 trips into town that week- and even just thinking about having to do that sucks too. Casey will be bringing me to those.
Casey has been having problems of her own, adjusting to a new elixir. I do hope that those get better before this all has to happen for me. I really have no one else to ask for a ride.

God help me. Starving, and in pain, is no effing way to go through life.
How very odd that I still believe in karma...

Am going to try to sleep a bit now. Have a grand weekend. My love to all

Health-(Care), Ellsburg, ~and Woodpeckers? hehehe

Yay!
That's more like it!

Good Morning All;
I have decided that I am going to be very busy today. I am even going to try to mow lawn, *if* I can get that darned (new) belt on.
(And then *if* I can get *on* the darn thing).  hehehe

Truly, the grass (and weeds) are to the point I cannot stand to even look out the windows anymore.
What the hell difference will it make, honestly, if I fracture a few more vertebra?
Either way, it hurts like shit anyway, so who cares the difference?  Not I.  Not anymore.

Besides, then I will be able to at least peek out my windows from time to time, and not just *wish* I had a better view.
(Besides, it is to rain tomorrow and I won't be going out to mow then).

I have been up since about 2:30- And CAB, that darn site just ate my comments and I wasn't about to repeat them.  (I will tell you tho, that  I  happen to like "Son of a Preacher Man").  hehehe

I had the TV on too- As I listened to Daniel Ellsburg  (AKA "The Most Dangerous Man in America") speak about the Pentagon papers that are all open to the public now, I was intrigued by what he had to say about The Vietnam War...

Ellsburg is the man who got his hands on leaked Pentagon papers some 40+ years ago. This morning he said that he had sat on those papers for 2 years after reading them- This was his ONLY regret about reading them- having them in his possession and all, and not doing anything.

Ellsburg also said, "...that made me believe that what I was involved in, in Vietnam, was NOT a noble cause that had gone wrong."
Why is he just now saying this?

Furthermore people, don't you see what the Republicans are going to try to do to the HealthCare we fought so hard for?
They will be having those same regrets in another 40 years- And that THEY WILL BE SINGLEHANDEDLY RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING EVEN MORE AMERICANS than the Vietnam War that Ellsburg "regrets" today.
(Why am I not surprised)?

To quote Jefferson Adams of the San Fracisco Examiner, (and from 2 years ago),
"Every two years, 1,700 American children die from lack of healthcare. That's the equivalent of a World Trade Center disaster every four years-with kids as victims.  Over the last twenty years, America has lost nearly 17,000 children because they lacked access to health care, this according to a study released by the Johns Hopkins Children's Center."

Sick girl (Click on picture for more info)

I ask you all, and all over again, How many MORE of our children must, and will, die, if these Republicans of ours REMOVE the insurances that our children were just given in September 2010?

Lord I am getting SO tired of asking questions that boggle our minds, crush our spirits, and murder our children, and other loved ones!

It is "ethnic~cleansing" by law - nothing more, nothing less. Please vote accordingly next year.
Yes, it's a long way off.
That said, I can almost guarantee that you will be angry with me if you don't like the HealthCare Bill
.   ;-)
Please think twice- Save your anger for our babies.
I promise to post the FACTS, not hearsay.  I further promise to post ALL linked documentation.

Back to Flintville...
I see that my woodpecker is back-

Cnv1325
-and nesting in my house?!?!
Pretty darn ballsy of them if you ask me!
hehehe

It is almost time for my next doses of medication, but I will rest a bit for a while first. Maybe eat a sandwich, or for sure I will hear from Polly. hehehe
She says I do not eat well enough because of the pain and the drugs- that it is a vicious circle.
I know she is right. But I do try. After that I will go wrestle the machinery.

I'd best get going then if I am to accomplish anything today.

I hope all is well in your little corner of the world...
My love to all

Just Another 'Broken~Hearted' Day...

My Sweet Polly, with Sputnik
(taken 2 weeks ago)...

A sad and long day for me- And Lord only knows how badly I need a nap...
Nothing bad happened. Though I woke with a bloody migraine.  Not too bad, but enough to throw me off for a while. I cannot take my pills either as I am scheduled to get 6 more shots in my back this Friday.
I am lonely; and not used to feeling that way. And, Oh My, it was so pretty, and perfect, outside.
I wanted to get out there so damn bad. Just no one to help me do that.

Thankfully though, my week from hell is over- I have now seen more doctors than I ever expected to in my lifetime.

On Tuesday last, I went to see Dr. Izzy, who revealed how I did on the MMPI?-2 testing.
In his own words, he said, (ahem), I had "a very excellent profile"...
He also said that he only needed to clarify a few questions. (There were about 8 of those). So I clarified, and we left. He had been uncertain in the beginning if Casey should hear my answers- I told him that I would not change my answers to accommodate the fact that my youngest child was overhearing it all. (It was nothing she hadn't heard already, anyway).
He lauded my honesty.
I really am proud that I have no skeletons where my children are concerned- I was always blatantly honest with them about my own life. Besides, I really don't have anything to hide.
(Now why is that SO freakin' hard for my trainwreck, and others, to understand and/or accept)?

At any rate, I can now wait for the phone call that tells me *when* I will get my pain pump implant. First, they set up a "trial" with it.
Don't ask me about that, I don't know about how that will work yet. (But I do think I'd better reinforce my darn pockets on every pair of pants because if I have to carry it around for a while first, as I have to lug around my TENS Unit, then my pockets will all need help).
* * * That, or my pants will simply fall down if/when I do stand up. (Damned gravity anyway).

Tuesday afternoon
found me - (at a sweltering 94+ degrees, with the A/C fubar'ed in my car)- at my primary doctors office.
Another change in meds to try to get the swelling down in my legs- It is called Bumetanide.
From Wikipedia: "Bumetanide is 40 times more potent than Furosemide (for patients with normal renal function).[1]"
I am also to continue the Diurex from over the counter (OTC).

She is also thinking that because of my weight loss (30+ pounds, or 17+% of my body weight) since the beginning of this year "might" be cancer.
Methinks she thinks too much. hehehe
However, they will rule out cancer before proceeding with anything else.
(WHAT?! They rule out the worst scenario first, and work their way down from there)?
Um, ok?  (I think)?

I am happy for the 30 pound weight loss- Problem is, I don't know 'where' it is lost from? My jeans, though a bit looser, still fit me fine. Same with the bra...  (damn shame that). hehehe

Maybe because I am [supposed to be] 'tall'...
I always giggle when the nurse asks me how "tall" I am. Used to be 5'9+", but with all this sitting (and bending over onto the table or desk just to be able to fall to sleep some nights), who the hell knows how "tall" I am now?!
Personally, I don't want to know.

Course I didn't want this either-

Waaaaay 'Warm' for us...
hehehe
No wait. "UGH" fits MUCH better...

(Taken from across the road).

Thursday was an appointment at the hospital to meet my "nephrologist", (kidney doctor).
He is from India- Both his 1st and last names begin with a "Q"- & with no "u" to follow.  Looks odd to see, but interesting too. I recall after reading his medical degree- (1/2 written in English, 1/2 in ?), that I'd wanted to ask him how his name was pronounced, but he was quite the "by the book" type of doctor. All business-.
(And besides, I forgot to ask him once he appeared).  Oh well.

Friday found me back at Pain Management for my monthly appointment- She changed my Rx again. Up. I just am not dealing with this all- Not too well anyway.

I still believe that the wrong drug in that infusion given erroneously in March is to blame for this swelling...
But I still have to figure how it all plays together.   Help?  Please? Anyone?

It seems strange that it would last so very long if it was- Then again, anything is possible in this day and age, especially where/what allergies do.
He will/has set up a Doppler ultrasound of my kidneys.  I will need some decent drugs to be able to lie on my back for that. I refuse to do that to myself anymore in this lifetime. They (my doctors) are "SOL" (shit~outta~luck), when it comes to making me lay like that.

Speaking of laying...
I am off to close my eyes for a while.
Keep it down please.  :-)     hehehe

Hope all is well with all-

XOXO
Me
